Finally had a chance to make this. I LOVE it! I am a big bleu cheese fan, and this hit the spot. Thanks for sharing!!!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2008
The cheddar cheese makes this extremely oily. I have tried many different combos and have found that Maries Bleu Cheese dressing, Franks Buffalo Wing Sauce and mozzarella instead of cheddar is best (waaaaay less greasy). When I used the canned chicken, it had a tendency to get "lost" so I have started to use fresh chicken that I boil/bake and the shred. If taking to a party, I will put in a crock pot (layering w/ cream cheese on very bottom, then chicken, hot sauce, mozzarella and finally dressing). The chicken wing dip idea is great, but I had to play around with this quite a bit.

The Best Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2008
I have a similar receipe using all 3 meats (only 1/2 lb of beef), but use 5 cloves garlic and instead of water, add fresh parley and 1/2 an onion to 3/4 c chicken broth in a food processor - then mix with everything else. This was decent, but I prefer the flavor of the broth and onion (i tried it thinking i would barely be able to notice). But all in all - my changes are just a personal preference and this does deserve at least 4 stars.

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2007
Awesome recipe. I forgot to buy frozen raspberries so I improvised by adding 1/4 c water to 1 c raspberry preserves, microwaving for about 45 seconds, the stirring until smooth. Then I strained the mixture. It was super simple and worked out great. I did use a few more cookies for the crust and let sit in the oven for about an hour after baking. Very minor changes that didn't really hinder the recipe's outcome. I will make this several times in the next few months as I have had many requests. Thanks so much for sharing!

Chicken Pot Pie VIII

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2007
Very Good! I cheated and used pre-made pie crust due to my own time constraints, but it still turned out great. I used a deep dish pie plate and piled on the entire batch of filling, so the pie was heaping. I've always wanted to try making chicken pot pie and this is a really good and easy recipe. Thanks!!

All American Roast Beef

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2007
This is, by far, the simplest and best way to do a nice cut of roast. I tried boiling as some suggested and it does not compare! It is imperative to use the cut as suggested to acheive the wonderful flavor of this recipe. YUM!!!!!

Spiedies

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2007
Coming from the Greater Binghamton area, We LOVE spiedies! This is a great recipe. Many restuarants in our area have built off from the original recipes and added condiments to create dozens of different versions, but the original versions are our pride and joy. Thanks so much for adding this as I didn't have time to throw my own recipe on here to share.

Buffalo Chicken Wings I

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2007
These were ok. Coming from upstate NY, I am used to "WOW" with my wings. Not nearly enough sauce, and what sauce there was didn't really stick. I tried 2 recipes from this site for a party. The other recipe I tried was gone looong before these were. I think maybe triple the sauce and coating the wings with flour, garlic powder and pepper (letting the light coating sit a little bit) would have made a world of difference.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: May 24, 2007
Just tried these tonight - Even my hyper-critical 13 yr old RAVED! I made a small batch as I was unsure of the outcome (have tried other recipes that flopped) and what a mistake. To make up for it, I promised to make more this weekend. I agree w/ other reviewers - it's a must to refrigerate after the flour mixture - makes 'em crisp and keeps the flavor in every bite. Thanks so much for a super recipe!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2007
I have to agree with susanna's review. I hope I don't offend anyone when I write this: I know we all "tweak" sometimes - like I added 3 tablespoons of tomato paste and extra veggies and broth, but to change the recipe THAT much is to not make this recipe. Beef stew is supposed to be simple and great tasting - this recipe is both as it is written. As a busy mom of 3 kids, it is perfect. I will say I tried beef stew with red wine and my kids hardly touched it - it took away from the true taste of the stew. If you want beef stew like you had as a kid, this is it. The simplicity and reminder of home make this a 5 star recipe. Thanks so much for sharing!

Romano Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2006
Very good! I used mozzerella and thin sliced chicken breast (it made more and cost less by using thin sliced - plus no pounding out the chicken). My microwave is on the fritz so I baked for about 15-20 min. on 350. I also sprinkled a little garlic powder on the inside before rolling (personal preference - love garlic). Very simple to follow. Will try microwave when I buy a new one. Thanks for sharing!

Very good! Very similar to a shrimp appetizer I love to make. Tastes great with fresh bread to "mop up" the broth. I did add extra garlic. Thanks for sharing!

Mushroom Pork Chops

This was good. Easy to make. Not my favorite way to make pork chops, but that's my own preference. I did add extra sliced mushrooms. The sauce was very good.

Mom's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2006
My family loves this! I have a very picky 6 yr. old who absolutely refuses to eat the "traditional" mac n cheese (using just some of the sharper cheeses)- and believe me... I have tried several recipes on this site to try to get her to stop asking for the icky boxed stuff. Not to say the other recipes were bad, they weren't, but she ate this right up!! Great as a side w/ chops or chicken and great as a main dish w/ salad and bread! I did double the recipe and quadrupled the topping (hubby's fave part). Thanks so much for sharing!

Ali's Greek Tortellini Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2006
I've used a very similar recipe for a few years now and it is always a hit! If I have no tortellini, I will sometimes use ravioli. Tortellini is better, but the ravioli will do in a pinch. Thanks for sharing!
