Easy and delicious. I added a little vanilla extract the second time I made this. Very good! Will keep in rotation.

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2014
This was excellent! I didn't have an entire 16oz sour cream, so I subbed in some buttermilk. Turned out great!

Cheesy Ranch Potato Bake

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2014
Used half the amount of butter; otherwise followed exactly. Would use cubed frozen hash browns next time just to save time. Very good and received lots of compliments!

Slow Cooker Lancaster County Pork and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2014
Followed recipe exactly. It was plain and boring. It was edible because I love sauerkraut but won't make again.

Martha's Vegetable Beef Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2012
Used 1 lb ground venison instead of beef and 1/2 beef broth 1/2 water. Very good. Will cut sugar in half next time. I cut up the stewed tomatoes before adding them. Made this for make-ahead freezer meals.

Chicken Fiesta Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2012
Made exactly as written only no chopped onion. Topped with sour cream. It was good, but not the greatest thing ever. Healthier than from a restaurant, so might make again. Will probably use taco seasoning instead of fajita next time.

Venison Bacon Burgers

Reviewed: May 23, 2012
Excellent! Cooked them in the broiler (6 minutes each side). Made 4 burgers out of 1 pound ground venison. Didn't use shallots or parsley because didn't have any. Will use this recipe from now on. Husband loved them and said he hated venison burgers before these.

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2012
Halved recipe. Used ground venison instead of beef and didn't have olives. Other than that, followed recipe exactly. Used 2 tortillas per layer, had 3 tortilla layers overall. Put in round 2 qt dish. Very good. Just the perfect amount of heat, not too hot at all.

Mozzarella-Stuffed Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2012
Used ground venison, browned the meatballs and then baked in the oven with a little sauce over them for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Came out perfectly cooked. Definitely needs spices in the meat mixture; they were kind of bland.

Sauteed Apples

Made exactly as written. Used 4 small granny smith and 3 small red delicious just to get rid of what I had on hand. The granny smith pieces were definitely better. Will make again with green only. A+

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2012
Made exactly as written, but used ground venison in place of beef and didn't add salt. Husband and I both loved it. I added fresh sliced mushrooms when I added the sauce to the pan. Served with mashed potatoes and corn. Will make again for sure. A+

Marinated Beet Salad

Made exactly as written only letting it sit overnight. Was better after sitting out and taking the chill off. And I used sliced canned beets. Will make again. Very good!

Needed some salt. This was way better the next day. Will make from now on instead of Rice-A-Roni.

Very good and easy. Didn't use protein powder or flax seed. Use banana, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, etc. Any fruit mix is really good!

Baked Bar-be-Que Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2011
Good and easy. I used two skinless boneless chicken breasts so I cut down the time and bbq sauce accordingly. Very easy and the chicken wasn't dry.

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
I used ground venison in place of the beef. I added like 7 dashes of tabasco and used cayenne instead of flakes (just what I had on hand). I really liked these but thought there was too much diced onion; I might cut down on that or sub for minced dried next time. Will make like this again. Thanks!

Corn and Zucchini Melody

Used two slices of bacon. Took bacon out and just put everything else in the drippings. Didn't transfer to a bowl before putting bacon or cheese back in. Loved it and husband loved it too.

Cabbage Fat-Burning Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2011
Pretty good for a 'diet' soup. Made exactly as written, froze most of it in individual servings for later (hopefully it reheats well). Won't use whole tomatoes next time unless I cut them up before putting them in. I had to simmer my giant kettle for like 2 hours to get the veggies al dente. Recipe made a ton of soup! **Update: The bowls of this that I froze turned out really well when reheated!**
