Chocolate Truffle Cookies with Sea Salt

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
These were very yummy, though the 60% choc chips were a bit too bittersweet for me. I would make them again but I would mix in regular semi-sweet chips at the end instead of more 60% chips. Made the recipe just as stated, and the batter worked out fine, though don't chill it for too long before trying to mix the chips in or it will be too stiff! I wouldn't say the gooey-ness reminded me of a truffle though, I thought they just seemed underdone, but they still tasted good if you're okay with that! I would also leave the salt off the top next time, and I usually love salt. Might try coarse sugar on top for the same look.

This was very tasty, much more flavorful than I expected. I think the only thing I changed was I added some summer squash cuz I had it. Very good!!

Beef and Irish Stout Stew

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
I added approx 4 diced potatoes, 1/4 t celery salt, 6 oz tomato paste, 2-3 cloves garlic, 2 bay leaves, paprika, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauces, 3 cups beef broth, and a green pepper since I had it....just threw it all in the crock pot together. I didn't cut up the meat, just let it cook all day and then shredded it.

Best Tuna Melt (New Jersey Diner Style)

Oh this was yummy! I used frozen texas toast (garlic butter kind) as the bread, and used parmesan cheese. Wow it was great. Thanks!

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: May 4, 2009
We loved this! Used 1 T. soy sauce, 2 T. worcestershire sauce, and 4 garlic cloves instead of garlic powder. Just threw everything in the crock pot and cooked it all day. Would definitely recommend putting the peppers in later on in the day so they don't get too mushy. Served over white rice. This was great!

Moroccan Tagine

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
This was so good! I'd been wanting to try a moroccan dish and this was a great one to try. I added some other spices that have been suggested...a little tumeric, cumin, and ginger, maybe a half teaspoon of each, and about half of a green bell pepper just because I had it laying around. My husband and I both loved this stew. The butternut squash was my favorite part!
