Easy Shake and Bake Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2006
I couldnt stop raving about this chicken the whole time I was eating it! I used bone in breasts and I tried 1 with the skin on and 1 with the skin off. I liked the one without skin better as it allowed the seasonings to really penetrate the meat. The meat stayed so moist. I doubled all the spices, didnt use sage and added a touch of cayenne pepper. I also added onion powder and garlic powder. A keeper in my recipe box!!

Turkey Frame Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2006
This is the best homemade soup I have ever made!! So great for that Thanksgiving turkey carcass. I did not refrigerate overnight - just skimmed off the fat and it worked great. I used "Better than Bouillon" instead of granules and egg noodles instead of kidney beans and even my husband who is not a soup fan could not stop saying how good it was!!

Macaroni Caesar Salad

Reviewed: May 18, 2006
This was such a great twist on a salad. I took it to a potluck where there were several salads and this was the only one that people were asking who brought this salad. I used bow tie pasta and it was so cute. I also added cherry tomatoes and that was a great addition.

A Marinade To Die For

Reviewed: May 18, 2006
I did use bbq sauce as suggested by others and I was dissapointed with the results. The taste was very sweet, the lemon lime soda being very dominate. I think regular cola might be little less sweet tasting and blend in beter with the other ingredients. Will keep looking for the ultimate marinade.

Quick and Easy Fruit Dip

I was hesitant about the orange juice part and tried it without it first and felt it just needed something else so I added the OJ and oh my word--sensational! That is definately the key ingredient! Everyone loved it and its also wonderful on angel food cake. Everyone wanted the recipe.

Next-Best-Thing-To-Robert-Redford Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2006
The recipe is delicious but it needed a few adjustments for me. For one the crust could in no way cover a 9x13 pan no matter how hard I tried, so I moved it to a 8x8 pan and it was perfect, but I like a little thickness to my crust, especially this one as it is like a shortbread. The other thing was not to put whip cream in the cream cheese mixture because it really dilutes the flavor. Also, if you toast the nuts before adding them to the crust really makes a difference. Excellent end result!!!

I added 2 cups of chicken broth to this because I was looking for more of a soup type meal and it turned out really well.

Black 'n' White Cheesecake Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2008
The cheesecake portion of this is incredible. Really good vanilla is key to this. But the crust is to firm for my preference. When that melted chocolate cools its really hard. I would prefir this with a crust of chocolate graham crackers- I think that would make it perfect.

Mississippi Mud Pie I

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2007
Super easy and I love that it makes a 9x13 size. I was told by one that it reminded them of a fine pie they had on a cruise ship once- how great is that!!The cream cheese layer is pretty thin and I think that next time I may double that as its my favorite part.

Brownie Biscotti

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2007
375 is to high temp for these. 350 would be much more accurate and reduce to 300 after slicing them. I burnt my first batch at 375. I used toasted hazelnuts , which tasted excellent, and no egg wash. Great flavor, if not burnt :)

Spicy Italian Salad

This is so excellent. I did not have tarragon vinegar so I used half rice vinegar and half balsamic vinegar and it worked perfect. Will definately make again.

Quick and Easy Green Chile Chicken Enchilada Casserole

Reviewed: May 27, 2011
Loved how great they tasted and how easy they were. I used a rotisserie chicken and layered it all instead of rolling them individually. Tossed some taco seasoning in with the chicken and added some black beans. Wonderful.

This needs way more seasoning than called for to give it any flavor!! I had to do alot of adding and it still was not the classic stuffing taste.

Creamy Banana Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2006
This is great bread. If you dont like cream cheese have no fear because you cant taste it- it just gives great moisture and a cake like texture. Very good. Love the nut mixture. Looks beautiful baked in a bundt pan- great gift.
