Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2006
These were okay not great. I'm not sure how I would change it considering I read a lot of reviews before cooking them. I found them a bit bland & soupy. Not a favorite and not horrible.

Mexican Rice III

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2006
Snaps for ALANASMOM! This dish was great just the way it was. I didn't have a green pepper or bouillon cube and it was still wonderful. Even my non-rice eating daughter enjoyed it. Goes great with chicken enchiladas I (this site too). I did cook it longer because the rice was still crunchy after 20 min. A keeper!!!

Chicken Enchiladas I

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2006
Snaps for Debbie! These were the best enchiladas ever. I too boiled and shredded the chicken, omitted the water, and used enchilada sauce. I didn't have a green pepper or dried oregano and they were still amazing. Served it with Mexican rice III (this site also) for a dinner my family has already requested again!!!

Blueberry Coffee Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2006
This is a good recipe. I read many reviews to get ideas how to make it better which is why I luv this site. I used 2 cups of flour, 3/4 cup milk, 2 eggs and 2 cups of blueberries. I poured 1/2 the batter in a 9" springform added 1/2 the topping and 1/2 cup blueberries. Poured the rest of the batter and topped with streusel. I folded 1 1/2 cups of blueberries in the batter as well. Baked for about 50-55 min. at 350. It looked very pretty when sliced. Thanks to all the input from others. Its a keeper.

Alla Checca

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2006
Snaps for Star! This is the perfect summer dish. I picked the basil and tomatoes out of the garden. I, too reduced the oil by half and it was wonderful. This would also be great as bruschetta on a crusty bread. Very versatile, very good!!!

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2006
Snaps for Amy! I absolutely loved this dessert. I did add more peaches, however it was the topping that blew me away! I wanted to make a dessert using peaches as they are just in season. Next time I will use a 9x13 pan so I can double the topping. Great recipe!!!

Focaccia Bread

Reviewed: May 15, 2006
Snaps for Terri! This was my first attempt at Focaccia bread & it was quite successful. Having read many reviews I was able to put together a recipe that everyone enjoyed. After the dough was on the baking sheet I let it rise another 30 minutes. After that I made wells with my finger in the dough & added crushed garlic to the oil before brushing it on. Sprinkle with parmesan & mozzarella for a bread that rivals any bakery!

Easy Apple Crisp

Reviewed: May 11, 2006
This is delicious and very easy to make. What a great idea using cake mix as the topping. Next time I make it I will mix the apples with brown sugar and cinnamon before putting them in the dish. I thought they tasted a bit bland. I baked it for 50 minutes and felt it would have baked in 40-45. Definitely a keeper!

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2006
Snaps for Connie! This is the best honey mustard sauce we've ever had. I followed the advice of others and doubled the sauce. So glad I did. I marinated the chicken in the sauce for several hours and still had some for basting. The chicken was juicy and the sauce was the perfect blend of flavors. Our new favorite!!!

This was good. not great. The filling wasn't as gooey as I would've liked. The frosting however was so perfect it made the recipe worth trying.

Cathy's Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2006
Snaps for Cathy! This is my daughter's favorite recipe of any banana bread I've ever baked. I leave it on the counter and everyone takes a piece as they walk by. The only change I made was 1/2 cup of brown sugar instead of all white. A definite keeper!

Molten Chocolate Cakes With Sugar-Coated Raspberries

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2006
Snaps for Pam! This could be the best chocolate dessert I ever had. I made them in regular size tins because I thought the large ones would be too big. Silly me, so instead I ate two topped with vanilla ice cream. I would so make this again and again and again!!

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2006
Snaps for Carol! This is an amazing recipe. It's so simple I can't believe how delicious it turned out. I did add more garlic and seasoned the bread crumbs with salt, pepper and onion powder after reading other comments. It was crispy and not dry at all. For the first time there was not one piece of chicken leftover and I always try to make extra for the next day. A definite keeper!!!
