Amazing Slow Cooker Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
Very good only complaint was the timing was off i had to cook it almost 4 hours an was still slightly gooey in the center. Hubby even approved of this and said he liked the center the way it was LOL. Changes I made was as follows. (1) I used Ghirardelli chocolate cocoa (2) did make sure to temer the mix with the egg when adding the water. (3) I used EVO instead of veggie oil and only used a 1/4 not a half.

Marshmallow and Peanut Butter Dessert

This was not a good mix of ingredients... it was very heavy, and if you are not careful it becomes greasy. only thing I changed was last min hubby ate my M&Ms so i used pieces of a Hersey's bar.

Hearty Wild Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2012
Let me start off by saying... I would try this again with some changes! First problem was the veggies was crunchy and the rice was just mushy :( The only thing I did not add was the sausage because i forgot it at the store. Next time I will cook the veggies first with the meet. I did add garlic to this and salt an pepper. I also used all broth no water to make sure it had plenty of flavor to it.

Orange Chicken with Green Onions and Walnuts

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2012
After some much needed thought I tried this recipe again with a few changes... 1st- I added a full cup of the orange, before for us it didn't have enough of the orange taste. 2nd- I used bonless skinless chicken breast. 3rd- I used 2 1/2 Tb cornstarch and only cooked for a total of 5 hours an 25 mins on high. This one will so be a keeper at this house. ALSO PLEASE NOTE THE RECIPE CALLS FOR IT TO COOK ON LOW FOR THE 8-9 HOURS NOT MED OR HIGH. Cooking at a higher temp will make a big difference in the Timing!

Perfect Gin Martini

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
I took time reviewing this recipe. I am a Martini Lover and had alot of different types over the years. At first I wanted to rate this with 1-2 stars... But the more I sat and thought about this there is really only 1 thing I would change, So with the change it is 5 star worthy.. All I did was use a dash of vermouth to a dash to coat the glass. That was it now go enjoy!

Beef Tamales

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2011
So after making a few changes to this recipe it was very worth of 5 stars to us..First I want to say there is NO substitute for LARD! Second we used cilantro instead of oregano, nor did we use the red pepper flakes but instead used diced jalapenos.... Very Good Recipe thanks for sharing...

Chicken and Cheese Enchiladas

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2011
Ok after making these 2 different times I'm ready to share my thoughts... The first time the cheese sauce was to much made it runny and way to sloppy for our liking. The taste was ok but felt the cheese over ruled the whole idea of a enchilada.... So here is what we did different that so made this a 5 star recipe and will be made often at our house again. First we boiled the chicken an shredded it, used corn tortillas(what we prefer over flour), and a can of enchilada sauce... What we did was mixed 1/2 the cheese soup (mixed the soup with only a 1/4 cup milk) with the shredded chicken rolled in corn tortillas, over the rolled tortillas we put the remaining cheese soup and drizzled the enchilada sauce over that...Finishing with a sprinkle of shredded cheese and sliced jalapenos. Also we had the salsa on the side with sour cream because not everyone in our house likes salsa. We finished off the pan from last night today for lunch as was just as good if not better then last night!

Easy Pickled Eggs

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2011
This was so handy! My family has been making pickled eggs with beets for as long as I can remember.. Best of all these eggs didn't make it 24 hours! One down fall it did have was the longer they sat the sweeter they got. So to keep it like my family makes it I did add 1/4 c. of cider vinegar. Thanks for sharing.
