Heavenly Lemon Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2015
This cake was amazing! It was so good even the fiancé went back for seconds and thirds! I made mine in a square pan then cut into little squares for easy serving. I also topped with a soft vanilla whip cream and lemon zest. This is going in my keeper files for sure!

Caramel Pretzel Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2015
These was so delish! I left off the toffee chips because the BF don't like toffee I also added the chocolate chips to the batter instead of the caramels. I tend to have a bad issues with them always ending up on the bottom of the pan. Then scrapping them out and having holes in the bottom of the brownies. Now this may not happen just letting you know why I swapped the chocolate chips for the caramels on top before baking. Then added a extra drizzle of caramel on top with the pretzels. I will be making these again!

Buttery Sugar Pretzels

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2015
These were good but I used the 2tbps of sugar. my pretzels was salted and played a part in them not being very sweet. I will make these again but with unsalted pretzels and the extra sugar.

Buffalo Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2015
This was really good. I did use 1/2 the amount of buffalo sauce. I suggest doing the taste test and adding after each addition of the buffalo sauce. The first batch was so spicy we could not taste the ranch or cheese at all. The second time by reducing the buffalo was a success! We will be making this again.

Nutty Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2015
The batter is very basic and slightly bland. The topping was dry and fell off if you don't press it into the batter. This would be good with a few adjustments. I did use brown sugar for topping and chopped pecans. as we don't eat a lot of walnuts. This would still go good with a latte or cappuccino for a quick breakfast.

Spaghetti with Buffalo and Tomato and Basil Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2014
A simple and flavorful dish. I could not find the full amount of buffalo that it calls for so I did half and half ground beef. It was tasty but I still think I prefer my old sauce with the more ingredients with more flavor and less sugar.

Oven-Ready Lasagna with Meat Sauce and Bechamel

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2014
I'm not sure what I did wrong but my sauce looked a little orange. The Bf loved this because it did not have ricotta or cottage cheese. I could not get meat sauce so I added ground beef. I did use some fresh mozzarella that I shredded and added when I added the parmesan. I love how easy it was and will be making this again with a little less milk next time.

Baked Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2014
I really hoped we was going to love this recipe....But well it was Ok nothing really special. I did not understand the milk in the topping. It made a soft mixture that made it hard to spread over the apples. It had good flavor but could have used a little more cinnamon. I do have plans on trying this again with less milk.

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies from Mazola®

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2014
These cookies are Wonderful! I have now found one of the best Peanut butter chocolate chip cookies out there. I did make a change and that was because of the chocolate chips I did not dip the fork and make the lines. They was sweet as it was even without it. Make sure you got milk close a hand. I was slightly set off that it called for corn oil and was surprised at the end result. It did not off set the flavor at all. Next time I will defiantly cut back some of the sugar.

Johnsonville Sausage Balls

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2014
These was amazing! We was really worried about the mushroom flavor so I cut the mushrooms back to 1/8c finely diced. We are making another version of these for breakfast in the morning with the maple sausage! Thanks Johnsonville for the great recipe!

Banana Nut Bread by PAM®

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2014
This bread was wonderful. It was very moist and had a good banana flavor. I used slightly less honey because I did not realize I was out. It still turned out great and can't wait to make again! I did use 2 large eggs because I didn't have egg beaters on hand and spraying the pan with Pam made it pop right out of the pan.. I do know I will be making this again and again.

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2014
These was really good. I made 2 batches the first one I followed the recipe to a T. They turned out good but did not raise the way I had hoped. Second time around I made these changes. 1. I used buttermilk instead of milk. 2. DO NOT knead just mix till combined 3.let dough rest for 1-3 hours before patting out and baking. brush top with melted butter before and after baking. making these few changes made some outstanding biscuits! Thanks for sharing!

Easy Cream Cheese Danish

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2014
Fabulous! These was easy to make and looked great when I took out of the oven to serve. I sliced them straight from the can in log form (I used butter flakey crescent). Then dipped the top of each roll (makes about 10 rolls) into sugar. Then I pressed down the center and filled with cream cheese mixture and baked as directed. I halved the recipe and did not go skimpy on the filling. Half the filling is enough for I can of crescents. I did not use the icing on top due to the fact I filled them a little extra. They sure did not last long here.

Healthy Banana Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2014
I loved these! As I was mixing them up I could not stop picking at it. I did make 2 changes. Yes I did make them as listed above first. Since I needed to use up several bananas and is to hot to make bread. First change I did on the second batch was add peanut butter in place of oil and secondly I added 1tbsp. of cocoa and left out the dates. I will be making this again!
