About this Cook
Hi I'm Tina, I am finally learning how to truly enjoy life with my best friend an jr high sweetheart. After 15yrs we found our way back to each other and been on a fantastic journey ever since. Being a thirty something... Foodie with a love for music, sports, books and most of all travel. I found a new love for photography an food styling.
My favorite things to cook
BBQ Ribs with Coleslaw, White Chocolate Bread Pudding, Crepes, All things Chicken, Cheesecake because one day I will not have a fallen or cracked cheesecake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
With so many family recipes passed down it is really to long a list to share but my favorites of the recipes are.. Nut rolls, Pickled Beet Eggs, Peanut Butter Fudge.
My cooking tragedies
Cheesecake, One day I will figure out how to stop them from falling or cracking! Yes I have tried just about every trick I can find to fix this. But still to this day it either cracks really bad (like grand canyon cracks) or falls. One day, oh yes one day I will have a perfect cheesecake. For now thank goodness for toppings :)

Momma's Sloppy Joes
This was good, I subbed Johnsonville ground sausage for the beef. I mixed the sauce in a bowl so I could give a honest review of it. I felt it to be slightly lacking in flavor. I only added sugar to taste which was about 2tsp. There is no way I would add 2tbps to this recipe it would be way to sweet so I recommend putting 2tbsp in a small bowl then adding 1tsp at a time till you like the sweetness level. I did realize a little to late I only have red wine vinegar I do think that added to the flavor. I also added some onion when browning the meat. when mixed all together and simmered for 30 min it had lots of flavor and had te family coming back for seconds. I had to keep a eye on the sauce and add a tbsp. at a time during the simmer to keep sauce thickness how we like it. I added a total of 1/4c water to get a sauce consistency that was not overly thick.

Amazing Muffin Cups
This was such a quick and easy breakfast that I really didn't think would have much flavor. I was so WRONG! I used southern style hash browns o brian style. (they are a dice cut and have the bell pepper and onion in them) These was so good I could not keep them around. I will be making these again and trying the maple Johnsonville sausage in them.

Ashley and Whitney's Popcorn and Pretzel Sweet Snack Mix
This was really good and would make again with half the amount of chocolate I think would be plenty! Mine had to much chocolate and made my popcorn start getting soft. I did have to use some coconut oil to thin the chocolate as it did not want to melt smoothly. The flavors was amazing. I did used crushed pretzels instead of whole pretzels. I also made a batch with a salted caramel pretzel bites that was out of this world! The combinations on this is endless! The 2 batches I made were gone before I knew it. This will be made again many times with many variations. Thanks for the wonderful recipe!
