About this Cook
My husband and I love to have dinner parties. We have 20 couples who come to dinner at least 4 times a year. I am retired and have lots of time to cook.
My favorite things to cook
I like baking cheesecakes, casseroles and any interesting new recipe I can find. I have more than 100 cookbooks, but find it is much easier and faster to check out Allrecipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My sister is also a gourmet cook, and we each cook every other holiday. I always cook Thanksgiving and she cooks Christmas dinner.
My cooking triumphs
One of my recipes was featured in the Baltimore Sun years ago. Our friends always ask for my recipes.
My cooking tragedies
Sometimes I have to garnish my cheesecakes because some of them crack.

Cajun Baked Catfish
This is definitely the best fish recipe I have ever made. I went by the directions exactly, and used Swai (Vietnamese Catfish). Delicious! I will make it for our annual Mardi Gras party this month. Thank you so much Wendy.

Kentucky Hot Brown
I am from Kentucky and I love Hot Brown, but I don't see any reviews where they added ham to the recipe. I have never had it without ham in addition to the turkey, and have never had it with mushrooms. I guess it all depends on where you eat. It is always Yummy!

Mini Pineapple Upside-Down Cakes
These little cakes were so easy to make, and they were a hit at our Holiday Progressive dinner in our neighborhood. I trimmed the pineapple slices like the recipe said, and they fit perfectly. I also added the cherry before baking. There are only 10 slices of pineapple in a 20 oz. can, so I added 2 slices from a small can of pineapples. Thanks Cindy for a wonderful recipe.
