Needs Parmesan on top and a little extra something...

Slow Cooker, Easy Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2012
I blended (left a few chunks for texture) with an immersion blender. It was DEVOURED. Hardest thing was scrubbing the potatoes ;)

Light and Fluffy Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
I add sundried tomatoes, feta and garlic. I saute the spinach, onion, garlic and sundried tomatoes before adding to the pie. I use 1/3 cup of mayo and add a 5th egg per everyone's suggestions. Best quiche I've ever had! It does make too much so I either use two 9" pie crusts or use one and make the other one crust-less. (I may love the crust-less one more!)

Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2010
Amazing! Thank you for sharing! They came out perfect and were eaten (too) quickly! Everyone at work and at home raved about these. Made them as is. Next time going to make a batch with peanut butter chips, a batch with chocolate chips and a batch with Andes mints. I did try the trick where I dropped the pan onto the counter top as mentioned by the reviewer on the front page. Greatest cookie trick EVER! I will never make a cookie without doing this again. Must say that it was worth the price of the Ghirardelli cocoa powder if you can find it.

Saltine Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
I jokingly call this "White Trash Candy Mash" as the saltines generally give people pause. By changing the name, the expectations are lowered and everyone LOVES this! Easy to decorate for various seasons or holidays. Drizzle white chocolate over top to "class it up" a bit. My suggestions (I think they should be mandatory): 1. Use a jelly roll pan! 2. Line the jelly roll pan with parchment! It will save you heartache.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
Vinegar bomb! I added a TON of sour cream and cheese to make it somewhat edible. I used Frank's... perhaps something else would be better?

Butternut Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
This is dessert... WOW! Super sweet. I know this is bad for some but for me it was tasty! Just had a tiny slice as I would any sweet dessert so the sugar wasn't overkill. Thanks!

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
Wonderful! Next time I would reduce the amount of oregano used (not a huge fan). Per others' suggestions, I added instant white rice during the last half hour (when the shrimp is added in). Since I added the instant rice, I doubled the chicken broth at the beginning. Thanks!!! for providing a great slow cooker recipe without condensed soup! More like these are needed!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
So tasty!!!! I used another's suggestion and made sure that I used a BBQ sauce without vinegar. I actually used Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce. I put the finished product on a good roll with caramelized red onions and American cheese (I know, I know... but it really melted and combined well with the chicken!)

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
Hands down one of my favorite things to make on the grill. I don't change a thing but I do baste and baste and baste throughout so there are layers of deliciousness! Only downside: Wish I knew how to clean the grate properly after...

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2006
WOW! Seriously loved it! Used RoTel Milder as my “diced tomatoes with green chilies” since my child can’t handle spice. For taco seasoning I used Lawry’s brand. I mixed sour cream and sharp cheddar in my child’s personal bowl before serving him (out of eyesight) so that I could shove a little extra dairy/calcium into him. For a kid who despises beans, cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, and chilies, he ate three bowls full. It is really that good! I use a three-quart slow cooker and cut the recipe in half. It fit perfectly into my machine. The left-over ingredients after 1/2 –ed the recipe were frozen together so that I can make it easier next time (which I will be doing soon!) This recipe goes beyond five stars! However, if I was making it just for myself I would have added a touch more spice.

Justin's Hoosier Daddy Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2006
LOVED IT!!! Seriously, I had a hard time sharing with anyone. Those who I did share it with either loved it as well or loved it but said it was too spicy. I opted to put the cayenne powder in it and those who complained aren't big on spicy foods. They said they really wanted the recipe, but would leave out the cayenne. Either way I, and they, highly recommend you try this!
