About this Cook
An ex-corporate working mom, A newbie in baking but has a big heart for sweets. My family would always prod on me to set up a food business since I love cooking and has a knack on experimenting good food. My family and I would love to try different patisserie from Simple Bakeries "Panaderya" to upscale Pastry Shops. I am always fascinated on how amazingly beautiful those cakes, cupcakes, biscuits looks that always brings me to confusion on which to order hahahaha I bet I am not the only one who has that dilemma! As I turn into a new page of my life I want to re-create my life and bring more color and laughter. I want to be a blessing to others by using God's given talent to me. I would like to share to people how to enjoy sweets not being guilty or worried. Healthy eating is what I want to offer(see how fit I am)Lol! Eat, love & pray are the truest words to describe LIFE as it is...
My favorite things to cook
I have nothing in particular I just enjoyed cooking. I would grab anything from scratch and prepare good meal out of it and set the table as special as I could be to make my loved ones feel the same passion I have in preparing those meals for them. My trick? I present the dish on lovely settings (plates, garnish et al...) to make the food appetizing on their eyes before it even gets into their mouth hahaha one thing I learned in Advertising "good packaging or presentation" will always gives you a step forward or a boost.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Being Filipino we grew up having Kare-kare or stew (ox tripe, pig's cheecks or beef), Sinigang, Adobo as staple food these are very ordinary and almost same ingredients but taste differs based on who cooks it and based on the region. Having a family of my own I have the luxury of preparing from Asian to Western dishes by the way being half breed (chinese-filipino)born in this modern world I consider myself lucky for having exposed to multi-cultural ways to bring up the best in me in wherever life takes me.
My cooking triumphs
My No-Baked Cheesecake has always been popular.
My cooking tragedies
Well I have lots to mention the way all newbie's has experienced.
