About this Cook
I have a blessed life! I married my high school sweetheart and we have 3 babies together. I enjoy taking care of my house and cooking for my family and friends. Some of my favorite dishes are down home comfort foods and I absolutly love carne asada steak. I would love to learn authentic Mexican dishes.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make just about anything yummy. I try at least 1 new recipe a week.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well my husband and I like to kick off the summer with a bar-b-q. We invite all of our family and friends. We mix it up a little with ribs, burger and hot dogs for the kids. I ask everyone to bring their favorite dish. We end up with a smorgasborg of food, yummy. We set up the horseshoes and mix up the margaritas and its just a wonderful fun day for everyone.
My cooking triumphs
I am a finalist in the upcoming 44th annual Pillsbury Bake-off contest.

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana
I have made this many many times. The is hands down the best soup ive ever tasted! I use kale and a lot of it! I also use regular mild instead of cream unless I have it on hand. My 8 year old son loves this soup in fact it was his idea to use more of the "green stuff".

Chicken Enchiladas with Creamy Green Chile Sauce
my family LOVES this dish. The only change I make is sometimes using Jalapeno sour cream instead of regular. Wonderful meal thanks!

Sloppy Joes II
Fantastic and easy. I make with ground turkey but follow everything else to a T! I do use no sugar added ketchup.
