Blackened Fish
This was not good. I don't know about anyone else, but you try heating up a cast iron pan on high for ten minutes, you're going to have a house filled with smoke. The spice blend was okay, a little spicier than I prefer but overall, I didn't think that a pan was the best way to cook this. I would try maybe broiling or grilling.

Russian Tea Cakes I
Turned out just perfect! I used half butter and half butter-flavored shortening. I cooked them for 14 minutes and the bottoms did not brown at all.

Beans, Some Like It Hot!
It's good thing I reduced the ginger, because 2 tbsps were plenty for my taste. I only used 1 tsp of chili powder and it was very spicy. I also used thai yellow curry paste the curry paste and instead of parsley I added a bunch of cilantro.
