About this Cook
I have a real passion for baking/pastries....I'm hoping someday to do something with Forensic Science and be an accomplished baker/pastry chef on the side. I'll eventually need to put my degrees to work!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake! Cookies, breads, desserts, pies, cakes anything - you name it! If I haven't tried it yet, I want to! I also enjoy cooking: chicken, pastas, fish, ethnic foods (still learning). I love trying new things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
As my asian friends will holiday goes without rice :o) No real favorite tradition, but I love my mom's Chinese congee and steamed fish, she makes the best! We'd also have prime rib for all holidays and my dad does a great job with it. :o)
My cooking triumphs
I've mastered my sugar cookie recipe. Trial and error several times until I've perfected the ingredients, how thick to roll the dough, and how long to bake then, down to the exact estimates here!

Bomb! This will make a great summer recipe for me! I also added minced sweet onion to this recipe and allowed the sauce to warm up a bit on the stove with the drained pasta. I will be making this over and over!

Pork Chops with Delicious Gravy
Very tasty. I just made a few alterations. Instead of honey I used agave syrup. I added freshly minced garlic and fresh cut mushrooms and doubled the sauce. I served with fresh broccoli and pasta. I mixed the extra sauce with the pasta. Delicious :)

Creme Brulee II
This was just ok. The recipe can be better. The custard flavor was lacking, I'm just not sure what, but could definitely use more flavor. I will definitely be experimenting with this recipe to reflect my tastes.
