I have a real passion for baking/pastries....I'm hoping someday to do something with Forensic Science and be an accomplished baker/pastry chef on the side. I'll eventually need to put my degrees to work!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake! Cookies, breads, desserts, pies, cakes anything - you name it! If I haven't tried it yet, I want to! I also enjoy cooking: chicken, pastas, fish, ethnic foods (still learning). I love trying new things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
As my asian friends will say...no holiday goes without rice :o) No real favorite tradition, but I love my mom's Chinese congee and steamed fish, she makes the best! We'd also have prime rib for all holidays and my dad does a great job with it. :o)
My cooking triumphs
I've mastered my sugar cookie recipe. Trial and error several times until I've perfected the ingredients, how thick to roll the dough, and how long to bake then, down to the exact minute..no estimates here!
