About this Cook
I enjoy homemade meals that are quick, easy, and economical. Love shopping at local farmer's markets for fresh produce. Living in Hawaii allows me to experience many different cuisines and cultures, I'll eat just about anything...
My favorite things to cook
Hearty meals that look time consuming but take minimal effort. I love good food that looks beautiful, tastes great, costs little, and is kind to my waistline.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Spam fried in maple syrup. Uncooked Vienna sausage with shoyu. Fresh hand fried andagi (Okinawan donut). Cooking rice for every meal...

Beef Stew VI
This recipe is so easy and delicious! I make this once a week for dinner using veggies from the farmers market. It's so hearty and satisfying, and my 1 year old eats up the veggies like a pro! More than enough for leftovers. If I can make it while watching a toddler, so can you!!!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins
I make these once a week. I'm lazy so I just use one bowl for everything. I also don't add the crumble, makes it a wee bit healthier. Double the recipe. It makes 24 regular sized muffins. I bake for 19-22 minutes and they're perfect. My husband eats two a day!!!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
So easy!!! I literally throw four frozen, boneless, skinless chicken breasts into the slow cooker, cover with 2 cans of condensed chicken soup, pat of butter, and pour chicken stock till it covers the chicken. DONE. If I'm feeling ambitious, I'll dice up a onion and throw it in too. The dumplings couldn't be more simple. Open the container, tear off bits, and plop it in. ALL DONE!!!
