About this Cook
I am married, no kids. I love to hang out with friends and eat great food.
My favorite things to cook
Right now I am really loving my Kamado ceramic barbecue grill. Grilled pizza is amazing.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When I was little my mom would often make breakfast for dinner. My favorite was scrambled eggs with bacon mixed in it. My other favorite was when my grandpa would make Bierocks/pasties.
My cooking triumphs
Lately, anything that comes of the Kamado is awesome. My last brisket knocked my socks off.
My cooking tragedies
My latest was using left over brisket to make chili. I should have cut the brisket into small chunks. It ended up impossible to eat it with a spoon. So I tried to chop some up in the food processor and it turned into a gross goo. So we ended up eating the chili with a fork. The taste was great, it just didn't resemble chili.

Eastern North Carolina BBQ Sauce
This is a great recipe for Carolina BBQ. If you are unfamiliar with this style of BBQ you may not like it. I slow cooked a 7 pound pork butt for about 17 hours on my Kamado BBQ, shredded it and put it in a crock-pot with all of the sauce. I served it with Angie's Dad's Best Cabbage Coleslaw recipe with the pork on a hamburger bun. So good!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style
I will never roast a chicken any other way! This is a 10 star recipe! This really was better than my local grocery store rotisserie chicken that I love. Excellent!
