Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
I have made this recipe many, many times. I reduce the brown sugar somewhat and always put the catsup/sugar on top and bottom. I always make a double recipe and freeze half.

Flip-Flop Cobbler

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
I give this one 5 stars for ease of preparation. I made it the first time with what I had on hand which was canned pears - now that's the only way my husband wants it.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2006
This year I roasted 2 turkeys - 1 for Thanksgiving feast and 1 for sending home with visiting kids for leftovers. Both turkeys came out juicy and perfect!! I am not much of a cook so in the past I just bought expensive Butterball brand. This year I paid $0.68 per pound for store brand turkeys and followed this recipe exactly - it was just like I knew what I was doing. Thanks for a great recipe.

Grilled Fish Steaks

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2006
I made this recipe using grouper and baked at 375 for 30 mintues. Very flavorful. Stops any 'fishy' taste. Will make it again. I found the dried basil to be a little strong, will try using fresh basil next time.

Light Oat Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2006
Maybe there are better recipes somewhere on this site, but I have to say this is the first truly outstanding bread I have made: great color, texture, taste, crust, smell. Yum. The first time, I followed the recipe exactly but it overflowed my breadmachine. What a mess. But it was super easy and had a good taste so I tried it again, this time just did the dough cycle and baked it at 375 for just a little over 20 minutes. Love it. I will contiue to try other recipes but this will be the standard by which they are judged.

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2004
I made this recipe for the first time today (08/29/04). I would give it 5 stars for easy to make, 5 stars for crunchy crust, 5 stars for texture but only 3 stars for taste. Too bland. Although I must mention that my husband and I finished nearly a whole loaf to come to this, too bland, decision. I am looking forward to modifying by adding some herbs and spices next time.
