About this Cook
I am a stay at home mom to two young children.
My favorite things to cook
Anything my family will eat!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My moms "famous" stuffing recipe during the holidays. I try to make it when I'm not able to be home for the holidays but it is never as good as Mom's.
My cooking triumphs
A Hungarian dobos torte I made for my fater-in-laws 75th birthday. (I got the recipe here!) It took hours to make but my father-in-law, a Hungarian native, loved it.
My cooking tragedies
Too many to count!

Buttercream Icing
Easy to make and tastes great! I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out fantastic! I divided the batch and added melted and cooled chocolate chips to half of it for a chocolate buttercream which was also great! This is my new 'go to' frosting recipe!

Banana Banana Bread
This is the best tasting banana bread ever! I made a few slight changes because of personal preference but I'm sure the original recipe is still wonderful. I added 1 tsp. vanilla, 3/4 tsp. cinnamin and sprinkled brown sugar on the top before baking for 65 minutes. Excellent!!!!!!!!!! This is a must try, you won't be disappointed!

Plain and Simple Sourdough Bread
I have to agree with the other reviewer. The dough was more like a thick cake mix not at all a bread dough. I added tons of flour to the mix and it was still too wet and to top it off, now it was too big for my bread machine! I make homemade bread almost everyday but have never had a recipe quite as soupy as this one.
