Jalapeno Strawberry Jam

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2012
Just finishing making a batch and lids are sealed. This is so good. You keep eating it even though it at times taste a little warm the sweetest of the strawberries balances the flavors. Can not wait until next year when the berries come in and the peppers are fresh. Thanks again for a great recipe.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2012
This is a good start for a pot pie. I used cresent rolls for my crust because my husband likes more crust than pie shells. I cooked my chicken breast (3) after taking off the skin and ribs but adding them to the water also cut up the chicken in nice bite size pieces to make the stock. I seasoned it more 1 tsp curry powder, garlic power,no celery seeds salt and pepper. I also added my celery, onions, 4 cubed potatoes, about 1 cup mixed vegetables and a cup of carrots chopped to the water and let them cook for about 30 minutes. Used my stock water (broth) no milk to make my sauce. Which I doubled. I used a slotted spoon and dipped out my veggies and chicken placed them on top of my cresent roll crust then pour the sauce on top of the veggies and chicken and baked for 30 mins till the top was golden brown and you could see the sauce bubbling. My husband ate 75% of it and sayed he had never had chicken pot pie that good before and he has eaten alot of it. THANK YOU !!! Keeper recipe.

Caramel Apple Jam

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
Ok I made this today and I really did change it up. I used 3 pkgs of ham glaze that we did not use on our sprial cut hams insstead of the sugar and brown sugar. Plus it already had the spices added to them. Did not add water but the apples and pectin the exact same. I did use 3 tbs. butter and it is GREAT! Really good on top of cream cheese puffs.

Bubba's Jambalaya

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2010
Thank you I made this for Father's Day at a Assisted Living Village I work at and they loved it. Made it for 36 and it turned out perfect. Followed the directions to a tee except for the thyme which I omitted and could not have asked for anything better. All the men said it was the best they had ever had. Again thank you for making this day such a big hit. This is a for sure keeper and will make it at home and for more gatherings.

Pizza Pinwheels

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2009
I made these today after seeing the picture. My 7 year old and hubby both loved them. So easy to make just took half the crescent rolls flaten them out covered them with 3 slices of mozzarella chesse then topped it with the pepperoni rolled it up sliced it into 8 slices and bake. Once you get them rolling up it was nothing to it. Will keep this one for sure and make often. Would be great for carry ins or showers. Then again tailgate parties would also be a great place to serve them. Thanks again for a quick and easy recipe.

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2009
When my 6 year old eats half the loaf I have to give it 5 stars. I did follow the advise of others and added 1.5 tea salt. It is the best bread recipe I have found and I have been cooking bread for 15 years. Soft with a flaky crust just like they said. Thank you Diggetydog so much.

Boston Baked Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2009
These are better than the recipe that is kept a secret by the dog. The only thing I can say is that it takes two hours for the beans to get tender and I did what someone else did and doubled the sauce. They were a big hit. Thanks so much no more buying baked beans in this house.

Shredded Beef Enchiladas

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
I like others read all the reviews and added alot more spices. A can of Rotel and a few spicy peppers. I did not fry the shells and we used the low carb wheat shells. I even made chicken the third time I made these. We always have enough to freeze and they are great reheated. Will continue to use this recipe. We love Tex Mex food and by adding the extra spices it does the trick. Thanks :)

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2008
This is a GREAT recipe. We grow our own lemons and it only takes the juice of half a lemon to get a cup of lemon juice. So that was all I used and turned out PERFECT! I also cheated and used a graham cracker crust which was also great tasting. Thanks so much!

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

This is a great recipe. I only added a few things that our local restaurant has in theirs. A can of chopped waterchestnuts and I put 1/4 cup buffalo sauce. We like ours with a bit of a kick. Goes fast at parties and a great carry in with chips.

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2007
I have made this for years. But I also only use 1 cup of water and let it set after adding the frozen strawberries for at least 10 minutes till it starts to jell. Crushing the pretzels has been a family trick we now put them in empty cereal bags and step on them till they look like pecan pieces. Hope you enjoy this as much as we do.. Can be made sugar free and or fat free.
