About this Cook
I have a core group of friends on whom I try out recipes. Each time I show up with a new dish at a gathering, I announce the disclaimer that I have no idea what it tastes like; but, 412 people on loved it!
My cooking tragedies
Not realizing that two dinner rolls fell off the cookie sheet in the back of my oven before popping in the appetizers for a cocktail party. I ended up with a house full of guests and smoke. At least the food and drinks were good.

Artichoke Spinach Lasagna
Great recipe base + lots of good advice in the reviews = a delicious lasagna my friends loved. My changes due to ingredients on hand and time constraints were: 1.) didn’t bother cooking the noodles, minced garlic to save chopping time, chicken broth instead of veggie, Italian seasoning 1T instead of rosemary, chopped fresh spinach instead of frozen, non-marinated artichoke hearts, small can of chopped mushrooms, 3 sm jars of alfredo sauce (1 four cheese, 1 w/ roasted garlic, 1 with mushrooms). Layered as directed and baked for recommended time. Delicious, creamy and very appreciated. Thanks to all for the recipe and suggestions.

It's Chili by George!!
Excellent recipe as written and very easy to make. I use the slow cooker and usually assemble it the night before and refrigerate to give the flavors more time to blend and save time in the morning. Sometimes I leave out the cayenne pepper since my family is a bunch of spice wimps. I've made this 5 times and each received rave reviews. Give it a try. Thanks George!

Cucumber Slices With Dill
I used 1/2C sugar and English cucumbers (less seeds). This recipe is great. Everyone (even the kids) liked these cucumbers. I make them the night before so they have plenty of time for the flavor to develop. Thank you for the great recipe.
