Strawberry Pie II

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2007
My family was disappointed with this pie. My husband thought there were too few strawberries and too much glaze. I used 2 pounds of strawberries - one for the whole strawberries and one for the glaze. If I did it again, I would half the recipe for the glaze and use the rest of the strawberries whole.

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

This is easy and delicious! If you don't have time to "slow-cook" it is easy to do on the stove.

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2006
The first time I made this recipe I was out of beef bouillon so I used a combination of chicken broth and chicken bouillon. I was also out of dried Rosemary so I used Italian Seasonings. I brought it to the potluck and everyone thought it was great! It was great! Then, I made it the next time using the recipe as posted, and it was rather plain and disappointing. Overall, the recipe is easy to make and the meat turns out tasty...but I will stick to chicken broth from now on.

Winter Fruit Salad with Lemon Poppyseed Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2005
YUM! Our favorite salad! I have brought it to a lot of potlucks and people always ask me for the recipe afterwards. It needs no doctoring, it is just perfect, although we have used Asian pears for the pears and they add a lovely texture.

Mexican Baked Fish

My husband anticipates this recipe with joy whenever I make it! It is soooooo easy and full of delicious flavors! A real winner at our house. We substitute tilapia fish when we can.

Peanut Butter Candy Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2005
This recipe is delicious. We were searching for a substitute for cracker candy because we were out of Saltine Crackers. The first bite was a real treat. As we continued to devour the cookie sheet worth of candy, we discovered that a little sprinkle of salt helped do the trick to improve what it was lacking. We think that perhaps eliminating the margerine in the chocolate topping would enhance the chocolate flavor and reduce the richness of the dessert - more like cracker candy. Make sure you have plenty of water or other non-sweetened beverage available! Lastly, I would give the texture of the peanut butter bottom 5 stars! It definitely had that Reeses' Peanut Buttercup feel.
