Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2013
Excellent recipe! I used a crisp, tart apple and increased the cinnamon to 1/2 tbs and added 1/4 tsp nutmeg. So yummy!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2013
Absolutely fantastic! I made this to go with a giant pot of chili and it was a huge hit. I cooked mine in a muffin tin for 18-20ish minutes. Next time I may experiment with reducing the sugar, but as-is this recipe is the best I've ever had!

Cocktail Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2013
We have made these several times using frozen meatballs. Delicious! We've had luck on the stove top and slow cooker, and we've even made them with vegetarian meatballs. A huge hit every time!

Fresh Rhubarb Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2014
This pie is absolutely fantastic! I made it exactly as written and used a premade pie crust from the store (laziness). It was one of the best pies I've ever had. The perfect blend of sweet and tangy, and so simple! I will definitely be making this again!

Caramel Apple Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2013
This dip is fantastic! I used 20 caramels instead of 16, but it still wasn't quite caramely enough for me, so I'll increase them again next time. Overall, the texture was great, everybody loved it, and it was insanely easy. I will definitely be making this again!

Eileen's Spicy Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2013
I swapped out the white sugar for brown sugar and added an extra 1/2 tsp of ginger but otherwise stuck to the recipe. These were absurdly sticky, even after two hours in the fridge. I think I worked in two or three cups of flour just to make them manageable. The flavor was bland, probably in part to the extra flour, and didn't have any sweetness. I got 20 gingerbread men out of the batch and because I was tight on time I decided to pipe on some frosting and serve them anyway, but I won't be making this recipe again.
