Chocolate Cherry Cake III

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
What a delicious, beautiful, and super simple cake! I used a lower sugar version of the pie filling, 3/4 cup sugar, 3 T butter, and 1/2 t. extract. It turned out so well and tasted great right after cooling, Can't imagine it could taste even better the next day, but that will certainly be something to look forward to! Baked about 40 min in a Bundt pan. Thank you!

Busia's Cutout Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
Super easy recipe and very easy dough to work with! I had never made cut out cookies from scratch when I found this recipe, and I couldn't ask for a better cookie. I have 4 stars because as stated, they aren't very sweet on their own. I use Delilah's frosting recipe from Delia's Frosted Cut Out Cookies and they are always a hit! Thank you!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
What an easy and delicious soup! I followed the recipe exactly, but instead of cooking in the crock pot, I put everything in a stock pot and simmered for about an hour. I would recommend the crock pot if you're going to be gone all day; otherwise, the stock pot is faster! Tastes even better the second day. Thank you!

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
What a fantastic soup! I have made this several times now, and everyone who eats it loves it. Nothing better than a quick, homemade soup on a cold day. I did up the flour by a tablespoon, and double the bacon! Thanks!!

Mild Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
I made this for dinner tonight because I was craving chicken enchiladas, and they were absolutely delicious! Just the comfort food I was looking for. I did add diced green chiles and crushed red pepper to the mix, and I poured red enchilada sauce on top of the tortillas before the cheese mixture. I also used a pre roasted rotisserie chicken to shorten the prep time. My husband and I really enjoyed this dish, and I will definitely make it again soon! Thank you!

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
Love this recipe! It was easy to make, and my husband and I really enjoyed it! Definitely don't be worried about the amount of curry spice added. It was wonderful! I did add petite peas and reduced the sugar to 2T. I also followed another person's suggestion and cooked the curry in the oil longer and left the sauce simmering uncovered. Will make again! Thanks!!

Asian Salmon

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2006
Delicious marinade and so easy to prepare! Subbed Brown Suger Spenda for regular and dried basil for dill in the rice. I agree with other reviewers about wanting plenty of sauce. Yum!

Crab Bisque

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2004
I love this soup! I only use real crab meat (canned in the refrigerated section). It is thicker and tastes different from other seafood bisques I've had, but I still find it delicious, as did my friends. Thanks Leeza!

Butterscotch Haystacks

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2004
These are SO yummy and very easy to make. I gave them only 4 stars because they're really not the best for us heath-wise, so I make them as the occasional treat. Everyone raves about these!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2004
Great comfort food and perfect to bake and take. I also halve the recipe (8x8 or 9x9) and omit the meat, add sliced zucchini, and a bit of cayenne. I subbed shredded Italian cheese blend for the provolone this time because that's what I had on hand. Yum!

Orange Cream Milk Punch

This is easy, festive, and super yummy! Make sure you make it a few minutes before guests arrive to give the sherbet time to melt a bit. Thanks!

Oven Baked Jambalaya

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2004
This was my first time making jambalaya from scratch, and it was so easy and delicious! I halved the recipe and it still fit into a 9x13 pan. I subbed diced tomatoes for whole, used Tony Chachere's spice blend for seasoning, and diced ham and turkey smoked sausage for the meats. Was ready after cooking for an hour. Everyone loved it. Thank you!
