About this Cook
Health profession student who doesn't really have time to cook, but enjoys it and would like to get better at it.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking things. Cookies, pies, breads, cupcakes... Delicious. It's also the easiest thing; you can't go wrong with sweets. Plus then you sometimes get to decorate!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family likes to make/order more food than is necessary to feed the people that are present.
My cooking triumphs
Frosted and decorated vanilla cupcakes; they were beautiful and delicious.
My cooking tragedies
The first (and only) time I attempted potato pancakes. I couldn't even mash them properly... :(

Chickpea Curry
Really good recipe AND super easy! I also tried it with baby yellow potatoes and adding a little cream which I think I liked even better.

Fresh Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Really delicious! Make sure you use the right size pan though. We used one just one inch less in diameter. The top looked really done when we took it out of the oven, but when we flipped it over the center was still uncooked. The edges were fantastic though!
