One-Dish Chicken, Vegetable and Rice Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2010
We all liked this, including our 3 year old. I used fresh asparagus instead of frozen veggies, and it was really good. I would suggest letting it set up for about 5 minutes after removing from the oven and serving.

Grandma Gudgel's Black Bottom Cupcakes

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2010
These were delicious! I used the mini morsels instead of regular sized chocolate chips because my husband wasn't too thrilled about there being big chocolate chips in them. I also upped the cocoa to 1/3 cup as recommended by many on here! Thanks! Came out great!

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
This was ridiculously good, and easy as anything! I used 2 tubes (16 oz. each) of Grands Buttermilk biscuits and it filled my bundt pan perfectly. I didn't change anything else, and there were no dry or burnt spots. Absolutely delicious!

Terry's Texas Pinto Beans

Tasty beans! I also soaked the dry beans overnight.

Cranberry Orange Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
These were very good, and the fresh cranberry gave them a delicious flavor! I did not make the icing as I was going for a "not-so-sweet" taste. Now, I guess I shouldn't have done this, but I left them covered in an airtight container overnight, and my the next day they were VERY soft, OVERLY soft, and falling apart like crazy. I would recommend only covering them loosely. Otherwise, they were great!

This was truly an EASY quiche, and it turned out wonderfully!!! I took it to a meeting and got everyone loved it. The leftovers that were heated up for dinner that night got rave reviews from my husband as well. Thanks!

Quick and Easy Chicken

Reviewed: May 6, 2008
My picky husband loved this meal - it was perfect with rice and broccoli. Following others' advice, I doubled the sauce recipe, which I am glad I did. I also added a little cornstarch at the very end to thicken the sauce a bit. Very good, and very easy!

BAKER'S Peanut Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2007
Very good and very easy! I used chocolate chips instead of chopping a semi-sweet bar, and for what it's worth I used natural peanut butter (the kind that is just peanuts and salt). They came out great!

Oranged Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2007
I thought this was absolutely fantastic! The perfect balance of tart and sweet. Both the orange and cinnamon flavors are subtle, yet they change this from just plain cranberry sauce into something special.

Cara's Creamy Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2007
This was a good and easy recipe. It really took very little effort and not much time at all. I halved the recipe, but still used about 3 cups of sauce - we like lots of sauce on our pastas. The halved recipe still made quite a bit!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2007
Wonderful! I loved these. I wanted to half the recipe, but since you can't really "halve" an egg, I still used one egg and one egg yolk. They still came out delicious. Great recipe!

Italian Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2007
This dressing was great, and very simple to make! I have already had two requests for the recipe. I also substituted olive oil for the vegetable oil.

Cake Mix Cookies VIII

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2006
YUM! I used German Chocolate Cake Mix and semi-sweet chocolate chip cookies. Didn't change the recipe at all and they were perfect. I made little sundaes with them by breaking them up a bit (they're so soft and moist!) and putting peppermint ice cream and a dollop of whipped cream on top. FANTASTIC!

Pumpkin Bars II

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2006
These are ridiculously good! However, they are definitely more like a cake than a bar. A couple of comments: 1) After reading the other reviews, I added more pumpkin than was called for to give it a bit more pumpkin flavor. 2) I think the frosting is what really puts this recipe over the top - it is fantastic!

Southern Potato Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2006
This was a good recipe that was easy to make. Mine came out pretty garlic-y, so make sure you want a pretty strong garlic taste in your potato salad. I used half regular mustard, half spicy brown and I also cut my potatoes BEFORE boiling!

Sugar Cookies with Buttercream Frosting

GREAT - but MUCH better the next day. If you are making them for a party or for guests, I would definitely recommend you make them a day in advance.

These muffins were very easy to make and quite tasty. The texture was fantastic, nice and crusty on the top! I recommend serving them with jam and butter.
