Snow-Topped Chocolate Mint Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
I have made these twice in a week and everybody LOVES them!! I added a tablespoon of peppermint extract to the (semisweet, not mint) chocolate chips before melting them and then about that again to the batter.

These cookies taste very very good. Everyone I tried them on LOVED them. The texture is different than "original" snikerdoodles. I will definatley make these for my family again.

Pecan Sandies

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2005
I have made this recipe twice for my family so far, and it was a BIG hit. Especially with my husband whose farvorite cookies are pecan sandies. He LOVED them, and won't be going back to store bought. Wonderful recipe!!

Old Fashioned Apple Cream Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2005
This was a wonderful wonderful pie. My family loved it!!!! I tweaked the recipe just a little bit (even when i resolve not to, i still do) I added a bit of cinnimon and vanilla to the apples. Not enough to overpower. It tasted really good with the lemon. And I left the lemon zest out. Only because I didn't have any. GREAT RECIPE!!!!

Grandma's Brown Sugar Drop Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2005
Okay, I took the advice of some of the other reviewers of this recipe, and added a little less baking soda. WOW these cookies are amazing!! I added raisins and pecans, because the cookies just seemed to ask for them! Great recipe.

Hot Buttered Rum Batter

This was the first time I have ever had anything like this, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was good. Not the kind of drink I drink all night, its very rich, but what a treat!

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2005
I have only had oven baked rice pudding, but decided to try a "stove-top" one. OH MY GOODNESS!! I am going to have to double this recipe next time a make it so as to keep up with my husband and son eating it! I did personalize the recipe a bit. I added 1/4 cup vanilla/cinnamon creamer and 1/4 milk instead of 1/2 cup milk. I also added cinnamon and the littlest bit of nutmeg to the mixture while it cooked. Wonderful recipe, thanks for sharing!!! Wonder if you could make this with soymilk and splenda?
