Jif® Peanut Butter Granola

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
I wasn't too impressed with this recipe. I thought it was OK. I was expecting a bit more from all of the reviews. Probably won't make it again.

Garlic Chive Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
I was looking for something different to do with chicken tonight and came across this recipe. I followed it pretty much the way it was written except I added another 2 cups of chicken stock, and I didn't add the lemon zest. I was worried about it being too lemony. I also didn't add the total amount of chive, I just sprinkled some. I ended up adding a couple of tablespoons of flour to thicken up the sauce. I also sprinkled salt/pepper/garlic powder on my chicken before flouring. I thought the recipe was great and will make it again.

Iowa Pork Steak

Reviewed: May 18, 2009
This dish turned out great! I left out the mushrooms, because I didn't have any. I also used regular boneless pork loin chops instead of pork steaks. And I used chicken stock instead of the water for the dish. I served it over egg noodles and thought it was a great quick meal. I also decreased the cooking time to about a hour, I thought 90 minutes would be too long.

Chicken Lo Mein

Yummy recipe! I thought this tasted great. I did add oyster sauce like other reviewers stated and it did add some extra flavor. Also I omitted the water as well.

Blonde Brownies I

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2008
These Blondies were so good! The brownies were moist and had great flavor. I did take the advice of other reviewers and doubled the recipe so I could make it in a 9 X 13 pan. I baked it for 28 minutes and all I can say is they came out perfect. Thanks!!

Double Frosted Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2008
Wow! Nice idea to jazz up boxed brownie mix. My brownie recipe was for an 8 X 8 pan and my mix came with a chocolate frosting packet. I also was wondering why I never thought to add pudding mix to my buttercream frosting. It added a nice subtle flavor. I will definately use that tip when making frosting. I will definately make this again! It was fast and easy.

Easy Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2008
Not a bad recipe, especially when you need to make something fast. I thought it needed some changes though, I added Worcestershire sauce to the browned meat. Also when I browned the meat I sprinkled it with salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika. After it was done cooking, I thought it still needed something, so I added a packet of no-sodium beef bouillion. I thought it was pretty good. I will make it again.

Four Egg Yellow Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2008
I decided to make cupcakes instead of cake for this recipe. The cupcakes were so light and buttery. They had a good taste. I did do half shortening and half butter. The tops of my cupcakes did get a crispy (like other reviewers stated), but I decided to cover it up with a lot of icing. I will make again! Much better than box.

Easy Elegant Skillet Chicken Supreme

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2008
I thought this recipe was pretty good. The sauce had good flavor and the chicken was moist. The only thing I will do different next time is leave out the bread crumbs and just flour the chicken. I didn't think this was needed.

Chocolate Chip Marshmallow Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2008
I can not tell you how good these bars were! They did not last. I did make some slight changes. I used butter instead of shortening, and took out the nuts. Just not a fan of nuts in my cookies & brownies. I also decided to add in some white chocolate chips. These were awesome and I will make again.

Glazed Lemon Muffins

Reviewed: May 29, 2008
These muffins were great! I did halve the recipe and it made 48 mini-muffins. I do agree with some of the other reviews, I quartered the topping and still had plenty left. Also the muffins stayed moist and soft even after a couple of days, they didn't get hard.

Blue Cheese, Bacon and Chive Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 9, 2008
I have to start by saying I do NOT like Blue cheese. I thought this recipe was great and so did my family. I made some slight changes. I add a scoop of sour cream and chive/onion cream cheese (like other people suggested). I browned it in the bacon fat. Then I made a gravy in the drippings (I also added an onion & shallot to the pan while it cooked in the oven). It came out great. I will make it again.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2008
I thought this chicken was great. I didn't have any teriyaki sauce so I just brushed on some soy sauce. I also used real bacon instead of bacon bits. I will make it again.

This is the best sauce!! And so easy to make. The only thing I noticed is that the house stinks of whiskey when I make this.
