Ground Cherry Pie II

I sure was happy to find a recipe for these neat little fruit. My neighbour gave me some plants and now i have tons but did not know what to do with them!! This pie was very good and i will plant more ground cherries next year just to make more pies!!

World's Best Lasagna

Very good lasagna! Followed the recipe, some reviewer tips and couldn't help using low fat cheeses and whole wheat noodles. No one could tell! Had lots of compliments. After reading the reviews I also did not boil the noodles but let them sit in hot tap water in my soon to be lasagna pan. I was nervous about that, but to my surprise they turned out perfect! PLus working with stiffer noodles ia so much easier, nice and straight...no sticking and easier to spread on. Good trick! Also added a pinch of nutmeg to the ricotta. The biggest problem for me was the salt.I was leary about adding all the salt and did find it too salty. It overpowered the other flavors so i will cut the salt by more than half next time. I also ground up the sauce just a little with a hand mixer right in the pot. Don't do it too much cause some chunks are good. I had some sauce leftover for another pasta dish too! Thanks!

Sukhothai Pad Thai

Big fan of pad thai but not this recipe. It tastes sour to me. I took suggestions and used fish sauce instead of soy and replaced lime juice for vinegar. Not for me.

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

The reviews on this recipe made me think it guaranteed even with the style of cooking that was quite different than usual. However this did not work for us. It was cold, tough and raw. I know it wasn't the quality because we only purchase top quality organic grassfed beef and have not had any problems with any other cuts. I have seen other reviews that did not have success question the use of a gas stove which is what we have I don't know if that was the cause...
