Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2006
I made these for my son and daughter to take to school for their teachers. I don't even like oatmeal cookies and I have to say I am hooked. They have the greatest taste and aroma. You can't loose with these. Needless to say their teachers were very pleased with them as well.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2010
I was very impressed with these brownies!!! They were quick and easy, I made these and frosted them with the Brownie Frosting recipe from this site for Father's Day. Super sweet but ohhh sooo yummy! I did as other reviewers have done and hand mixed these and they turned out fabulous! They were more of a fudge like consistency and less cakey than others have reviewed. These came together very quickly and I was able to pull the brownies out of the oven and then make the frosting and the brownies were still warm enough to frost the brownies immediately after all the chocolate chips were melted. This recipe is a Keeper!!!

Artichoke Spinach Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2006
!!!OMG!!! I was a bit hesitant to make this because of the stars and man ohhh man alive am I glad that I did! This is the most delicious lasagna that I have ever eaten. My husband who usually doesn't like anything with the sound of spinach or artichoke, devoured it. I made this just as the recipe calls for.

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
Many people asked for this recipe when I made it as a side recipe at a Pampered Chef Cooking Show. Followed the recipe to the T, no modifications at all. It makes a LARGE pot of soup, my group was 25 and there was still leftovers.

Scrambled Eggs Done Right

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2007
AWESOME RECIPE. I reallllly don't care for eggs much and I thought I would make these for my family and I decided to have some as well, because of the great reviews. My goodness these are yummy. I am not sure if it is the mayo that took the eggy flavor out or maybe just because they didn't get dried out but I will have and make these again and again.

Baked Spaghetti Squash Lasagna Style

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2007
My whole family loved this recipe. I thought my kids wouldn't eat it and they only commented on the noodles being a little "crunchy" as they called it. The noodles are a bit more firm than actual spaghetti noodles. We really loved this recipe and will be making it again and again. Super Super Easy!

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
I made these for a PTA Membership Teacher Luncheon and what a big hit! So many people asked for the recipe. They are easy peasy to make and super delish. I will be making these for many years to come. Thanks for the awesome recipe. I did take advice of others and froze the peanut butter cups and also cooled them in the fridge before putting them on the cooling rack.

Gina's Lemon Pepper Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2007
!!!AWESOME!!! I made this recipe last night for dinner. My husband, two children and I loved this recipe. I washed the chicken and then I pan seared it with extra virgin olive oil and Promise butter and then I poked both sides of the chicken with the fork while they were cooking. I then took a fairly large lemon and coated the bottom of my pan and then I added the lemon pepper, garlic powder and onion powder on each side of the chicken breast. Before I put them into the oven I added a dab of butter to each chicken breast and then squeezed the remainder of the lemon onto the breast. I then baked them in the oven @ 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. You will not be disappointed. A family favorite

Seasoned Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2007
These are really AWESOME burgers. I used Worcestershire Sauce as another reviewer had suggested and they came out super yummy. We did use only a pound of meat instead of the half a pound as suggested. This is our second time to make this recipe and it will be a keeper as far as our family is concerned.

Firecracker Grilled Alaska Salmon

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2007
I made this for a large gathering and got rave reviews on this recipes. I am not a huge fan of salmon at all and I must say that I really enjoyed this. I used this on tilapia and salmon and I really like the way the salmon turned out better.

White Chili with Ground Turkey

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2007
We tried this recipe tonight and got really good reviews from everybody. My family and then extended family were over and they all LOVED it! The picture doesn't do justice for this recipe. My husband said this would be a recipe he would like to keep in rotation. Tasted better with flour tortillas we all thought and added the cheese individually. Other than that I followed the recipe to a T. A+++

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
I believe I used to much water and that it might have dilluted the bouillon and garlic flavor a bit. I did make them pretty close to how the recipe has suggested and people really enjoyed them. I used everything Organic (russet potatoes, butter, sour cream and so on) accept the cream cheese and I was pleased. This was my very first time to make mashed potatoes and I must say that it seemed I was making a mountain out of a mole hill because they were super simple to make.

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake VII

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2007
I followed this recipe pretty close to what the recipe called for. I didn't have a cast iron skillet so I used a non stick baking pan. I used 1/2 cup of pineapple juice and 3/4 cup of water, I just melted the butter over the stove and then transfered it to the pan. I really could have just melted it in the oven and avoided an extra dirty dish. I also didn't have maraschino cherries. next time I think I might follow another users suggestion to add milk instead of water. Everybody enojoyed it and even had people going back for seconds. Great Recipe! This was my first attempt at a pineapple upside down cake and would use this recipe again and again.

Taco Soup I

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
This recipe got !Two Thumbs Up! from my entire family. I did make some modifications so I am not sure that it is fair to rate it. I used 93/7 ground turkey by Honeysuckle White 1lb, half an onion about 1/2c, a can of diced tomatoes, can of pinto beans, Taco Seasoning I (recipe from this site) instead of the package seasoning, a 4oz. can of chopped green chilies, 1c water and not the 1 1/2c that was suggested and Taco Flavored shredded cheese. I didn't use any avocado only because I didn't have any on hand. I bet that would have made it even better and I am not sure that is even possible. Thank You Darla for this great recipe. It will surely be put into rotation as one of our regular meals. oops almost forgot that also added a can of drained corn.

Dark Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2008
This was a different cake then you would expect. I think it had more of a decadent taste to it and would have been the absolute best with like a chocolate ganache icing or maybe even sprinkled with powdered sugar and topped with fresh strawberry. I made the recipe almost exactly as stated in the recipe that was submitted. The only thing I changed was the pan. I made it in a huge cake pan instead of three rounds. We were very pleased with the results and would make it again just with a better frosting then what we used.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2008
I had made this recipe with the intentions of it being enough for the two pizza pies that I had already started and realized that this was only about enough sauce for one pizza. So I started looking for another sauce to make with the ingredients that I had left and I came across another sauce. I mixed what I had left of the "Exquisite Pizza Sauce" with the "Easy Pizza Sauce I" recipe from this site and it happened to be the best pizza sauce ever. I left out the anchovy paste and the marjoram from the Exquisite Pizza Sauce and the rosemary from the Easy Pizza Sauce I, those where the only modifications that I made. My family was personally very pleased with the results.
