Gina's Lemon Pepper Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2007
!!!AWESOME!!! I made this recipe last night for dinner. My husband, two children and I loved this recipe. I washed the chicken and then I pan seared it with extra virgin olive oil and Promise butter and then I poked both sides of the chicken with the fork while they were cooking. I then took a fairly large lemon and coated the bottom of my pan and then I added the lemon pepper, garlic powder and onion powder on each side of the chicken breast. Before I put them into the oven I added a dab of butter to each chicken breast and then squeezed the remainder of the lemon onto the breast. I then baked them in the oven @ 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. You will not be disappointed. A family favorite

Buttermilk Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2004
My family loved this recipe. I made two pies and one I used nutmeg and the other ground cinnamon. I have to say the one with cinnamon came out better. A word of advice, use deep dish pie crust. Thanks For Such A Wonderful Recipe.

Terry's Texas Pinto Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2006
Awesome Recipe. I did change a few things just because that is all I had on hand and they still came out with a really good flavor. I substituted onion for an envelope of onion soup mix and jalapeno for a can of green chilies and used pace picante sauce instead of the green salsa. I also added ketchup to the beans just because that is what my mother in law always does. The beans did take longer than two hours to cook though. I will next time follow the suggestion of another reviewer and soak the beans over night. Thanks for such a great recipe!

Yummy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2004
My family loves this recipe. I changed it up a little with leaving out the onions and putting in about 1/4 a package of onion soup instead and it was awesome. This is a recipe that I will make again and again.

Taco Soup I

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
This recipe got !Two Thumbs Up! from my entire family. I did make some modifications so I am not sure that it is fair to rate it. I used 93/7 ground turkey by Honeysuckle White 1lb, half an onion about 1/2c, a can of diced tomatoes, can of pinto beans, Taco Seasoning I (recipe from this site) instead of the package seasoning, a 4oz. can of chopped green chilies, 1c water and not the 1 1/2c that was suggested and Taco Flavored shredded cheese. I didn't use any avocado only because I didn't have any on hand. I bet that would have made it even better and I am not sure that is even possible. Thank You Darla for this great recipe. It will surely be put into rotation as one of our regular meals. oops almost forgot that also added a can of drained corn.

Baby Blue Punch

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2009
This was a great recipe! The mother to be and guests seemed impressed with the blue color and they all loved the ducks floating in the punch. !!!HOW CUTE!!! It was really easy to make just dump and stir. I did find that the sugar didn't want to dissolve that fast and the kool-aid did get a bit clumpy so you had to stir really good. So I think the next time I make this I would probably pour out half of the bottle of white cranberry juice into the punch bowl and then add the sugar and kool-aid packet into what is left in the bottle of juice and shake to dissolve the kool aid and the sugar better so that you don't take away from the (fizzy) carbonation of having to stir and stir the 7-UP along with everything else in the punch bowl. Once again, GREAT recipe and I was very pleased with the results!

Simple Country Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
Greatness!!! I made these a couple of times in like a week time frame. The first time I made them, they were not seasoned. The second time they had a deal going on at the grocery store buy one pack of seasoned boneless pork ribs get two free so I used those the second time around and WOW it was like a party in my mouth...lol! I made them the second time for a 4th of July party and received compliments from everyone. The host called the next day and asked for the recipe. There is such a great debate over grilling or boiling well I absolutely see NOTHING wrong with boiling ribs from here on out. The final result is like fall apart tender and juicy piece of meat.

Microwave Oven Peanut Brittle

This recipe was really well received. I made this for my husbands job and it turned out great. I did take the advice of another reviewer and added the peanuts when the butter and vanilla was added in. And I had to adjust the cooking time. AWESOME RECIPE!!!!

English Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
Really Awesome Basic Recipe! So much better for you than fried potatoes and really tasty. My entire family loved them. I used fresh ground sea salt and ground pepper and baked them for the time suggested and then broiled for about 4 minutes to get them just perfect, just as another reviewer had suggested. Two Thumbs Up!

I made this for a church fall festival cake walk and they loved it. Before the festival even began there was someone trying to buy it from the silent auction. The other loaves were fought over. I will be making this again and again and again!!!! I found that it cooked better in mini loaf pans. Thanks for such an awesome recipe A+++

Peanut Butter Pie VIII

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2010
This pie was a very good version of a peanut butter pie but I was looking more for something like a Peanut Butter Custard Pie and not a separation of the peanut butter bottom layer and the custard on top. It did get me started on trying to come up with the more traditional peanut butter pie recipe that I grew up with though. Thanks for the great recipe!

Brownie Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2010
I tried this frosting on the Best Brownies recipes from this website and absolutely fabulous! I made this for Father's Day and WOW how quick and easy this recipe was to throw together. The directions were spot on, I didn't have to change a thing. I was able to pull the brownies out of the oven and then make the frosting and the brownies were still warm to frost the brownies immediately after all the chocolate chips were melted. This recipe is a Keeper!

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Many people asked for this recipe when I made it as a side recipe at a Pampered Chef Cooking Show. Followed the recipe to the T, no modifications at all. It makes a LARGE pot of soup, my group was 25 and there was still leftovers.

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2009
This was such an AWESOME recipe and it isn't anything different from what you already have in your cupboard. We used this as a last minute meal choice and I am so happy we did. This is a keeper. Much better than any canned mix you would buy at the grocery store and super simple and fast to put together. We actually did make a change to the recipe, we used ground turkey instead of ground beef.
