Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2004
This recipe is ok. I've made it saveral times and it just comes out way too dry. If using fresh peaches I just triple (or morer) the amount of lemon juice to make it saucier. I've also just used canned peaches adding the cinnamon and nutmeg, and it's come out fine.

Vegan Chocolate Cake

This was a great recipe. I made it for my daughter's first birthday, who is allergic to milk. It was great to find a tasty alternative.

Butternut Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2004
I don't typically like butternut squash, but served this way it's like eating a sinfully sweet desert. My kids love it. My mom just had to have the recipe.

Crab Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2004
Love it! I've given this recipe away to many. I like to make it for gatherings. I like to add 1 cup shredded cheddar and occasionally artichoke hearts for that artichoke crab dip flavor.

Kelsey's Favorite Stuffed Green Peppers

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2004
For my first stuffed pepper recipe, this was a big hit. Instead of cutting the peppers in half I kept them whole. It reminded me of my mom's recipe.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2004
My family loves it! We make it all the time. I love the idea that there's vegetable in it, especially when giving the kids a sweet treat. I use 1 and 1/4 cups of honey and only 1 cup of sugar and this comes out very nice. When using the honey there's no need to use vegetable oil, because the honey keeps it moist enough. This helps with keeping the amount of fatty ingredients to a minimum. It does freeze well too like suggested.

Deep Dish Potato and Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2004
Loved it! My husband who hates pumpkin, never suspected a thing. In fact, he thought that it was so hearty that there had to be meat in it. I used a ready made pie crust instead. It was a tad dry, but made up for it in taste. Great for vegetarians too.

These are awesome!! I fooled the family with the 'crab'cakes. It really does taste like a traditional crab cake. Great for vegetarians. I will definitely use it regularly.

Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2004
This is an awesome recipe. Does an awesome job blending the pumpkin flavor into a sweet bread. Kids love it too. Especially with added chocolate chips or raisins, although I prefer plain.

Stuffed Yellow Squash

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2004
Didn't think this recipe was good enough for the amount of time spent on it. Thought it tasted so so. Too much squash and not enough other stuff. Definitely not for those who are looking for a recipe with just a bit of squash or that will make you forget you're eating a vegetable.
