Chef John's Pumpkin Pancakes

Flavor was good; however, as previously mentioned, batter was way too thick and pancakes would not cook in the middle before burning on the outside. Easy fix, just add more liquid, and they were really good, with maple syrup, butter and of course Applewood Smoked Bacon.

Caprese Appetizer

Fixed these for a cocktail party, doubled the recipe and only had 12 people at the party and they were gone within the first 30 minutes. I did sprinkle balsamic vinegar over them after plating them and I think this completed the taste of Caprese. Will be making again for sure.

Made this for a cocktail party that we had at the house and they were gone within the first 30 minutes. The thing about it, is I doubled the recipe and we only had 12 people show up for the party. In my recipe I have added Balsamic Vinegar that I sprinkled over the cheese and tomatoes after putting them on a plate, and I think it really completed the dish. Will definitely be making these again.
