Hazelnut-Crusted Salmon

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2006
The combination of orange zest and nuts gave the salmon a unique flavour. Was delicious and served to guests who enjoyed it. Simple and basic, yet flavourful.

Sweet Pepper Pasta Toss with Kale

Reviewed: May 28, 2006
Was a great dish and was our first experience using kale. We substituted pasta shells. Loved the combination of the pasta, peppers, kale and feta. We used it as a side dish with our baked fish.

Chicken Parmigiana

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2006
This recipe was easy and tasty! We made our own bread crumbs by slightly toasting and then crumbling using Magic Bullet (or you could use a food processor). We served it with steamed snow peas and spaghetti.

Balsamic-Glazed Salmon Fillets

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2006
We eat quite a bit of salmon so are always trying new recipes. I enjoyed this recipe, but my husband loved it! He preferred the stronger flavor of the balsamic and said it was one of the best salmon recipes we've tried.

Chicken With Mushrooms

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2006
It was definitely easy, but found it a bit on the plain side. Nothing fancy but easy meal that tasted pretty good. We probably wouldn't make it again though compared to other chicken recipes.

Penne with Spring Vegetables

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2006
We really enjoyed this as a side dish.. more flavour than expected. We did add sliced sundried tomatoes with a bit of oil and it added flavour. Overall, the presentation and taste was very good.

Shrimp Dijonnaise

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2006
This was very easy to make. We served with fettucine, aspargus and fresh sliced tomato. My husband didn't really liked it. He loves his shrimp so is a good 'shrimp connoisseur'. He found it was lacking something, so added some dill. It did add a nice new flavor that we both liked! With the dill he liked the meal but said he probably wouldn't make it compared to his other shrimp dishes. I enjoyed it, and liked the different flavor - especially the dijon and dill added. It was super easy to make which was nice too. I liked just about any food so I'm not the best at evaluating recipes. I just LOVE food! hehe

Hot Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2006
We weren't huge fans, mainly because we don't like blue cheese. The pecans were a nice taste in the salad but overall the salad didn't match up to many others we've tried, and wasn't as healthy either. We will probably use the pecans again as an ingrediant with future salads, but as a whole this salad wasn't super.

Marinated Greek Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2006
These were delicious! My husband said he didn't really taste the marinade, but I noticed a difference. We served with Mediterranean Greek salad found on this site and Pita Wedges and Tzatziki Sauce (from this site). Delicious Meal and got many comments.

Maple Syrup Korean Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2006
We really enjoyed it! Instead of broiling, we put both chicken and marinated in a skillet and then let the sauce simmer. It made less sauce overall but the chicken was tender with flavor. Very good! We served with sushi, brown rice and mixed vegetables.

We loved this! I used ground almonds instead of bread crumbs and we both enjoyed. I served with brown rice and asparagus.

Brie Pecan Rollups with Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2006
We didn't have pecans so used cashews instead. Tasted good...the brie wasn't super but may be personal preference. The raspberry sauce added lots of colour and flavour! Yum!

Rosemary Chicken with Orange-Maple Glaze

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2006
We really enjoyed this one! We cut the maple syrup down to 1/4 cup and it was still so flavorful. The sauce wasn't as thick but was still thick enough to coat and not runny. We also omitted the butter. We really loved this recipe!

Salmon and Spinach Fettuccine

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2006
Excellent! We LOVED this dish and had it for a nice romantic meal. We used salmon fillets instead of the smoked salmon, and had no capers on hand. It was delicious and one of our favorites!
