Chicken Asparagus Roll-Ups

Sauce is excellent! I used Key Lime instead of lemon and it was wonderful. A good recipe is one that can be altered to accommodate what you have at home and still turns out yummy! I'm glad to have such a simple option for company! Served with roasted potatoes and Orange Glazed Carrots from this site. Also my grocery store will tenderize chicken breast for me and I had them do this when I purchased them, thus cutting out the time and mess of pounding.

Quick and Easy Brownies

I've been without an oven for 2 months while the repair guy keeps ordering and trying different parts. I cooked these on a grill which held at around 350 degrees - it worked Great!! My kids were pumped to have a baked good after so many weeks. Super with ice cream on top!! Thanks for this awesome recipe.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Everyone else in my family would give this a 5 star, but it was a little too much sugar and butter for me. I like fruit pie to be as natural as possible - little sugar and fat, that way it is almost healthy :) My favorite part was the "review" story about Grandma Ople !! Thanks for sharing.

Fluffy Pancakes

Not real "healthy, hearty" pancakes but definitely yummy and well described as "fluffy". Add a little nut butter on top and they provide a little longer lasting nutrition. I did use brown sugar instead of white and they were light, fluffy and delicious!!

Alfredo Sauce

I really liked this and so did my alfredo loving daughter. I mixed it up quickly at lunch and served over frozen ravioli. Yummy! Oh, I used milk because it was all I had and we still loved it. Not as authentic but a little healthier. :)

Easy Meatloaf

Doubled the recipe but used 1 small can of spicy V8 and about 3/4 c. milk for the liquid. I have been a poor meatloaf maker until now. My family all ate this (although the 8 year old asked for no onions next time - I might use onion powder). They have never liked meatloaf before. Thanks Janet!!

Millet Muffins

Great muffins. I want to try the millet, but didn't have any so replaced with golden flaxmeal, oatbran and soy flour. Used half honey half brown sugar. Also dusted the top with brown sugar. (I have a bit of a sweet tooth :) ) Delicious!!

Cake Balls

A little too sweet for my taste. The kids liked it but we all decided we would use more cake and less icing in the mix. Dipping and covering the outside was fun and turned out pretty.

Chuck Roast with Homemade Noodles

Makes a great roast. I took the meat out after 2.5 hours, it was tender and juicy, added beef broth and potatoes and cooked an additional 45 minutes. Everyone loved it, there were no leftovers and the potatoes were especially yummy.

Pat's Dumplings

I tweaked it a bit like others did. Added 1/2 of the fat as shortening and 1/2 as butter, used milk instead of water and just kneaded dough together then broke off chunks and dropped dumplings into chicken soup. They sink first then when they rise to the top they are ready. Excellent!! Thanks Teresa for a great recipe.

Honey Wheat Sandwich Rolls

These rolls are soft and light. I followed guidelines provided by another reviewer and used my kitchenaide mixer as I do not have a bread machine. AMAZING! This recipe will get lots of use in our house!

Italian Kale

We all loved this! I love the idea that no fluid is added so you don't loose the water soluble vitamins! All my kids ate this, it had really good flavor. I didn't add much salt and it was almost too strong so don't over-do the sodium! Thanks for sharing this!

Chewy Granola Bars

Great start for whatever you like to add! I added peanutbutter, flax seed, and chopped almonds. Also added an egg and a little milk to help it hold together. Took the advice of another reviewer and pressed firmly half way through baking. Family really likes this. I'm sure we will use it for a variety of variations on Granola Bars - thanks for the recipe.

Erin's Indonesian Chicken

My husband and I really liked this, the kids were a little put off by the appearance but picked out the chicken, ate the Quinoa (I served it over quinoa instead of rice) and "tried" the greenbeans. So for family friendliness and flavor I gave it a 4. I will make this again and maybe eventually it will be their favorite food :)

Raisin Peanut Butter Bran Cookies

I used 3/4 c. peanut butter and 1/2 c. butter for more peanut flavor. Left out the raisins and added chocolate chips. Really good chewy cookie. Reminded me of Cliff Bars. So we call them Cliff Bar Cookies!
