French Onion Burgers

Pretty good, would make again, but if you cut down the recipe just for two, dont use a whole egg, it makes the mix too wet.

Sweet and Sour Pasta

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2005
I really enjoy the flavors in this simple dish that is sure to satisfy. While it might not be a favorite, it's one I always come back to. I like to make it a little creamier than the recipe calls for. Try pairing it with salad and the Asian Ginger Dressing.

Jay's Hearty Breakfast Skillet

cut down the recipe for just two of us (which was more than enough) and based on the reviews, i was surprised at how quick it took to make...though i had help with the chopping. tasted great.

Artichoke Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2005
i wish i could give this one six stars! it was so delicious and quick & easy to make. didnt have half and half so used regular cream, which while tasted great, was probably a little too rich. and next time i'd probably want to add some sundried tomatoes for color.

Scott Ure's Clams And Garlic

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2005
Thanks so much for this delicious recipe that's so easy to make! They steamed open a lot faster than I thought they would, though, so next time I'll take them out sooner. The sauce was excellent for dipping bread.

Ham Skroodle Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2005
I didnt leave myself enough time to let the salad set for a couple of hours and it was definitely better the next day. I used olive oil and it tasted too strong when we ate it just after making it, but you couldnt tell the next day. Also, I ended up making the dressing in a blender and that was a lot easier. I'd definitely make this again...but ahead of time.

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2004
we were in chile for the holidays and couldnt find baking potatoes, so we just converted this into a mashed potatoes recipe and they were still delicious, if not as visually appealing. it did seem like something was missing, though...maybe diced broccoli?

Mexican Guacamole

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2004
I spent so much money buying the ingredients for this guacamole to learn a valuable lesson that the simper the guacamole the better...the onion was way too overpowering and the peppers unneccessary.

Rosemary Roasted Turkey

I loved the rosemary flavor, and how easy the sauce was to make...my husband thought the flavor and texure of the rosemary was a little overpowering.

We used chopped sweet potatoes instead of mashed and they still were great...also they are really good with coconut mixed in with the other toppings.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2004
We made a smaller serving and baked it outside the turkey, and while I had to make do without some of the ingredients I couldnt find outside the country, it was still really good...moist and a good mix of salty and sweet.

Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2004
really good, though i agree with others that it could use more peanut butter flavor. also, since the recipe asked for such big cookies, it was hard to cook them enough on the inside but not too much on the outside. next time i'll make them smaller, but other than that, a big hit!

Banana Bread Crumb Pudding

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2004
Per reviews I just put in 2 cups of bread crumbs, extra apple sauce, and in place of milk I used double the amount of a cream liqueur. So it was just moist enough, though not as sweet as I would have liked, but that could've just been the liqueur. Putting coolwhip on top helped. And I think if I ever used this recipe again, I'd want to use more banana, to taste it more.

Sea Bass with Honeyed Apples

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2004
We really enjoyed this dish, it was different but in a good way. I would maybe in the future leave the apple peels on to add more texture and color as the apples did sort of look bland.

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

So easy and yum...especially the onions that had carmelized. The servings were quite small, though, for four people, but perfect with a salad as an additional side.

Chicken Pesto Pizza

We all loved this pizza. I used a thin boboli crust and threw on some tomato and shrimp. Homemade pesto also made it quite flavorful.
