This was amazing! I made it for a family Easter dinner and didn't even have any to take home.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
I made these this past weekend for an Oktoberfest party and they were pretty good and not too hard to make. They definately taste better warm out of the over (I made them the day before the party, but snitched one when they were fresh!). Also, if you're not planning to eat them right away, wait to put the salt on. I put it on right away and it had all absorbed into the bread by the next day. I just put a little more butter on them and added more salt and stuck them in the over for about 4 minutes. Turned out great!

Taco Turkey Wraps

These were great. We brought them to eat at a soccer game as an easy meal. I added real bacon bits, lettuce and tomato to it as well.

White Bean Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2007
This was great! After reading most of the comments, I substituted a bottle of salsa verde for the tomatillos, used two cans of diced tomatoes with chilis instead of the plain tomatoes, used a fresh jalapeno instead of the canned chilis, added a little extra broth and added 2 Tablespoons of cornstarch. I put it all in the crock pot and let it cook for about 8 hours on low. Garnished the bowls with sour cream and cheddar cheese. It was fabulous!

Egg and Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2006
Easy and hearty breakfast dish. I used 2 extra eggs and added 1 cup of milk after reading other reviews and like that better. I also only use 1 cup of each cheese.

Hot German Potato Salad III

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2006
We made this for an Oktoberfest party and it went over very well. I used 3 pounds of red potatoes and used 1/4 cup of cider vinegar. Otherwise I followed the recipe exactly and it tasted great. No leftovers!

This was really good. I brought it as an appetizer for my scrapbooking group and it was gone before the night was over.

Down Home Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2006
My three-year-old's exact words were "Mommy, this is the most scrumptious mac and cheese I've ever had!". Can't argue with that! The only thing I did different was add the milk before the flour and salt, as the first time I did it as stated and ended up with little dumplings swimming in milk. It was much smoother by adding the flour to the milk, rather than the milk to the flour. But this will be a new staple in our house with two little kids!

Ricardo's Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2006
My family loved this dough. I've had hit or miss luck with homemade dough in the past, but this worked great. It was so soft and chewy! I pre-baked it 5 minutes at 425, and then 8 more minutes with the toppings on. Next time I don't think I'll prebake it, as I think it would have been ok. I can't wait to make this again!

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2006
I'm not sure if I did something wrong, but these turned out really dry. When I made them up the night before, they seemed ok, but the next day they needed a lot of gravy on them. Maybe next time I'll try adding some extra milk or something. Tasted great, but we just weren't thrilled with the texture.

VERY GOOD! Quick and easy breakfast if you plan ahead to freeze the banana. I only used two packets of Equal and it was plenty sweet.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2006
AWESOME! These were the best! My husband has been asking me to make his grandma's cinnimon rolls, and I still hadn't gotten the recipe, but decided to try this instead. I've now been asked to make these more often! I did 1 1/2 times the frosting, which was about right. I took some reviewer's advice and did the dough in my breadmachine the night before, filled and cut them and then left them in the fridge overnight. I should have let them rise again in the morning, but I just put them straight in the oven and they were still rather large and good. But next time I'll probably wait 1/2 hour before putting them in the oven in the morning. Thanks for the amazing recipe!

This was good but a little bland. I followed the recipe exactly, so next time will add some more/different seasonings. I also will try to thicken it up more next time.

This was ok. Too much potatoes for me. I also added some salsa and cumin to spice it up a bit. I did wrap up the leftovers individually in plastic wrap and froze, so now my husband has easy breakfasts for busy mornings.

Mushroom Sauce Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2006
Pork chops turned out great, although after and hour and fifteen minutes, the potatoes still weren't quite done, but we were hungry so ate them as they were anyway. Next time I may prebake the potatoes a little in the microwave while I'm browning the chops or maybe even try the dish in the crock pot? I'll add some other seasoning too, but as it was, my family liked it and I will make it again.

Quick Black Forest Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2006
Wonderful cake! I made this for my husband's birthday last year and he loved it so much he's asked for it again this year. Instead of the glaze, we frosted it with fudge chocolate chip frosting. May have been a little more chocolate than any of us needed, but it was VERY yummy!

Blueberry Gelatin Mold

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2006
Very yummy. I didn't turn out real nice the first time I made it, but tried it again and it looked much better this time. Instead of topping the jello with the cream cheese mixture, I filled the 'hole' of the jello mold and then people just scooped some out with their jello. But I'd only make half as much cream cheese mixture next time if I do that, as I had a lot left over.
