Party Punch IX

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2007
This punch recipe totally ROCKS! I made it for a baby shower and everyone was raving about it and asking for the recipe. I halved the recipe and had plenty for 13 ladies who all had more than one glass. It was so good that I'm going to make it at Thanksgiving.

Lower Fat Chicken Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2007
I thought this recipe was terrible and I threw 80% of it away. I had to add more broth than called for and it has way too much basil and Italian seasoning in it. Will not make again!

Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2007
Made this recipe on a snow day with my six year old. Did a recipe search for a recipe without butter since we didn't have any and this is one recipe that popped up. These cookies are sooo good! We were pleasantly surprised, very pretty, and moist in the middle. I did not chill for 4 hours, we couldnt wait that long, and only chilled the dough for a 1/2 hour and they were pretty pretty easy to work with. I did not use parchment paper either, just sprayed a little PAM on the cookie sheet and they came right off, no problem.

Flavorful Beef Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2007
I used the apple juice because I didnt have the other two options. I wasnt sure about using it at first becuase I dont like fruit with meat but you couldnt taste the apple juice after it was cooked at all. I also used flour instead of cornstarch and it turned out great. The whole family loved it.

Chicken Puffs

This recipe was missing something. I added parmesian cheese and wish I would have also added crumbled bacon and another kind of cheese. Worth trying again with added ingredients.

Baked Parmesan Perch

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2007
I'm not a fan of fish but I thought this was delicious. I didn't use paprika because I didnt have any, but I did sprinkle some Tony Chachere's seasoning to give it a little kick. Will definetly make again.

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2006
I thought this cookie was more like a shortbread cookie. It was definetly not like any sugar cookie I've ever had. Would have been good as a thrumbprint cookie with some rasberry preserves in the center.

Black Cat Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2006
These cookies turn out absolutely adorable. I made them for a first grade class party and they were a hit. I did not use butter. I used margarine and just refrigerated the dough an hour or two before forming the cats with no problems. I rolled the dough into a ball in my hand then smashed the dough with my hands instead of the glass, then layed the cookie on the cookie sheet to pinch and form the ears. The dough looks like chocolate mousse and tastes like icing. After the cookie is baked it tastes a like chocolate cake but in the form and consistency of cookie. I did not use the popsicle sticks because I didnt have any and they were just as cute. I also used M&Ms for the nose instead of red hots, and used a pink YoGo for the mouth. Will definetly make this recipe again.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2006
The taste was great but the color was a very unappealing orange sherbert color. I took this dip to a football party and it got skipped over until my brother raved about it and curious onlookers decided to be brave and try it. Served with Frito Scoops corn chips and celery. Dont think I would make again.

Cranberry Apple Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2006
Followed this recipe to a T and it was drier than a bone. The apples were not soft and the top of the bread was brown, very tasteless to boot. I used Granny Smith apples. Dont know what the problem was but I definetly won't be making this again, threw the whole loaf in the garbage.

Awesome and Delicious! Definely slice the pork all the way through before cooking and it will get so tender it will fall apart. No extra BBQ sauce is needed, recipe is absolutely perfect!

Simple Savory Pork Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2006
This was sooo good. I definetly recommend using fresh rosemary. I used dried because I did not know dried rosemary will not soften up when cooked. I had to secretly scrape off all the rosemary from the pork before I served it, LOL. My picky 2 and 5 year old loved it. I also cooked it with potatoes and carrots.

Ultimate Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2006
I made this recipe for Easter brunch and have to say I was a little dissapointed. It was good but not great. I followed another reviews advice and used an 11X15 pan. I also added an extra cup of cheese. Next time I will use spicy sausage and mushroom soup in place of the cream of chicken.

Baked Potato Soup III

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2006
I made this recipe without the sour cream and it was good but I'm sure it would be even better with it. Next time I would add the sour cream to the soup and sprinke the onion, bacon, and cheese on top of of the soup instead of stirring it all in.
