Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2012
Fast, easy, and everyone, including the kids loved it!I followed the recipe exactly EXCEPT I had to double it because everyone loved it so much. This is perfect for the pint of cream because what else are you going to do with a leftover cup of cream? Even with doubling the recipe there was none left with a family of five. I also thought the alfredo sauce tasted very salty while cooking but once you pour it on the noodles it's perfect. PERFECTO!

No Roll Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2012
Made recipe exactly except for adding an extra 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Make sure you smash the cookie with a glass before baking as the cookie doesn't expand much. I rolled the top of the dough ball in colored sugar the smashed it with a glass on the cookie sheet.Used a 1 1/2 inch cookie dough scooper and it make 24 three inch cookies. Quick and easy recipe!

Homemade Crispy Seasoned French Fries

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2012
Instead of breading the fries one by one, dump all your ingredients in a gallon sized ziplock bag, add the sliced potatoes, and shake. SOOOOO much easier, faster, and a lot less mess!!

Spinach Artichoke Feta Ball

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2012
Every year I amasked to bring the cold spinach dip made with vegetable soup mix, but I needed a change. This recipe is AWESOME. To quote my brother it was was "restauraunt quality". I doubled the cream cheese, used the whole container of feta cheese, and halved the ranch mix as others suggested. Served with pita chips, bagel chips, and tortilla chips. If I could give it 10 stars I would!

Herb Roasted Pork

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2011
I was never a big pork fan until now! Bought a sliced pork roast on clearance and didn't know what to do with it. Tried this recipe and was impressed, a Monday night run of the mill dinner tasted like an expensive celebratory meal. I doubled the rub and added some vegetable oil to make the herbs spread better. I rubbed the herbs on each side of the pork slices, put each slice in a single layer in a 13X9 baking dish, covered with foil, and baked for three hours. As for the glaze, I used brown sugar in place of white, and used red wine garlic vinegar because it's what I had on hand. I served the glaze on the side because my daughter didn't care for the glaze but it totally made the pork loin special. Will pull her slice of pork out next time and glaze the rest as called for! Served with scalloped potatoes and onions from this site, along with simple green beans. So GOOD!

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2011
I mixed in 1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese before baking then added another cup of cheese sprinkled over top 15-20 mins before the end of baking time. Also added 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and used 2 chicken boullion cubes to 1 3/4 water instead of chicken broth because it's what I had on hand. Served with pork loin and green beans. Recipe and meal were both delicious!

Sausage Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2011
I used Pepperidge Farm herbed bread crumbs instead of bread and put this in a crockpot. I added enough chicken broth to make the bread crumbs wet and cooked it on high for about 2 hrs then low 2 more hours. The beautiful thing about it is you can add more broth if it starts to dry out. I made this along with traditional bread dressing and this recipe won hands down. Will make every thanksgiving from now on!

Green Bean Casserole III

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2011
I always felt like my standard green bean casserole was missing something so I tried this recipe. It filled the void my old recipe was missing! I think it was the cream of chicken and mushroom soup combo in one can. I almost passed up the can but then spotted it. It makes the recipe taste more hearty and delicious. Try it, you won't be sorry!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2011
Loved this recipe. My 11 yr old and I made this recipe for Thanksgiving and it was a huge hit. I only needed five apples to fill a deep dish pie crust. I added a teaspoon of cinnamon and it tasted like an apple dumpling in a pie. Will make again and again.

Libby's® Famous Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2011
My new go to pumpkin pie recipe. I'm wondering why I had never tried this recipe before. I mean, it's on the back of the Libby's pumpkin can, if they can't get pumpkin pie right something's wrong! My 7 yr old and I folllowed the recipe to a T and it was the hit of Thanksgiving. She was very proud!

Broccoli Cheese Soup V

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2011
This soup is AWESOME!! Tastes like Panera's broccoli cheese soup. I used fresh broccoli, including the broccoli stalks. Just slice the stalks in half and slice thin, simmer an extra 5 mins to make sure it's tender. I served the soup with crusty bread and Stawberry and Feta Salad from this site. So warm and filling.

Pumpkin Bars III

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
Like others have stated, this is a cake not a bar. Made for a family get together and everyone said it was good but there were still leftovers. I thought it was a little bland and will follow the advice of others and add more spice like clove, nutmeg, or pumpkin pie spice. On the positive side it was a moist cake with good cream cheese icing that would balance out the extra spices next time.

Curried Chicken Tea Sandwiches

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2007
I'm not a big fan of curry but these were delicious. I made the recipe exactly as directed except I left out the cranberries. I also chopped everything very fine. I made these for a baby shower and there were none left at the end of the party. I cut the bread with a flower shaped cookie cutter and the lettuce looked like a little leaf to the dainty flower, so cute.I also recommend the Punch IX from this website if your having a party or get-together, so tasty!
