Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2014
The best banana bread recipe in the whole world. I half the recipe and only make one loaf in a 9x13 pan, cook for 325 for 90 minutes, and it's done! Gets better after a day or 2 so try and keep from eating it straight out of the oven.

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
I enjoyed this. The problem isn't with the pork but with the gravy. One packet of brown gravy hardly did anything. Definitely needed 2. The flavor was excellent and it took the pork an additional 10 minutes to get to 165 degrees. Added portabella mushrooms to the veggies and I thought it was delicious. Also, browned the pork first as other reviewers suggested. Would make again...just with one more packet of brown gravy.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: May 6, 2007
Wow! One of the best recipes I've made on this site. So easy and tasted great. I halved the recipe, added garlic with the meat and onion saute, mixed the sauce in with the pasta and put all the cheese on top (added ricotta as well). Covered it for 30 minutes, uncovered for 5 minutes more, and it was ready to eat. Really great recipe. Thanks.

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

I thought this was pretty good. Added some veggies to the mix like other reviewers said and it was perfect. A good dinner and even better leftovers. Thanks for the recipe.

Zesty Chicken Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2006
The texture of this meatloaf is what threw me off. It didn't taste bad but didn't blow me away. I just couldn't get past the toughness of the meat. I think I'll stick to old fashioned ground beef meatloaf because this just didn't do it for me.

Burrito Pie

This was awesome. I added taco seasoning to the meat and some cayenne pepper cause I like spicy food. Topped it off with a little sour cream. Great recipe, I loved it.

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2005
This was okay. Not bad, not great and I followed the recipe exactly. I felt like dipping a chicken tender in the sauce, not salmon. Didn't taste badly, it just wasn't the right fit for me.

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2004
It's truly the sauce that makes this dish. I chose to bread the chicken like other reviewers suggested and I think that's the way to go. Like a chicken parm style...perfect with a side of pasta. Next time I make it, I will probably omit the chicken and make it a strictly pasta dish. It was just too good with the pasta. Easy to prepare and delicious. Thanks.

Tater Tot Bake

Wasn't crazy about this recipe. It was easy, cheap, and tasted okay but I wouldn't make again. It was fairly bland and definitely missing something.

Slow Cooker Barbeque

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2004
This was the best recipe I've made from this site so far. It was unbelievably good. This is the kind of bbq I would drive to a restaurant for. The fact that it was practically effortless is the best part. I actually cooked the roast on high for the first 5 hours, cut in thin slices with the grain, then threw back in crockpot for another hour. This way, the sauce wasn't too reduced, and when I pulled out the meat, it practically fell apart. Perfect, easy, and scrumptious. 5+ stars.

I really enjoyed this recipe. I added corn to it for a little sweetness and it was delicious. Served with a little sour cream on top and it was great.

Italian-Style Spaghetti Squash

Not bad but not great. The texture of the spaghetti squash was a little too weird for me. Didn't taste at all like spaghetti.

Baker's Secret Pie Crust

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2004
This was the first pie crust I've ever attempted. I was so happy with the results. The crust came out perfectly (just like Mom's if not better...and, she makes a mean pie crust). I can't imagine finding another recipe so the work, for someone who doesn't know any better, was no big deal. Definitly a keeper recipe. Thanks.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2004
I followed this recipe to an absolute tee. There are good points and bad points to this recipe. The good news is the fact that this is so easy to prepare and tastes delicious. The bad news is the fact that there is hardly enough sauce for 3 people, let alone 6 like the recipe states. So, you make a whole package of pasta only to use a quarter of it. I was a little nervous to even put the sauce on the pasta because it had cooked down so much that it appeared that the only thing left was a pool of butter over the chicken. I love butter but this seemed like an overkill. Once I spooned some sauce over the pasta, I tasted what all the fuss is about. It's a delicious pasta/chicken dish. I just don't know if a whole stick of butter is necessary. If I ever prepare this again, I would cut the butter significantly and add a healthier component. I love fatty foods but this dish, once out of the oven, made me cringe a little.
