Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2014
I really wanted to like this, but no one in our family cared for it. I agree that mayo was overpowering. I added some cheddar cheese and hot sauce to it, but it didn't really help. I would pass on this one.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2014
My entire family loves this soup! We did not use beer, but used chicken broth instead. So, you can skip the beer and not miss out on any flavor. I like my chicken to be shredded, so after it's finished cooking in the crock pot, I take it out, let it cool and run it through my little vegetable chopper (you know, the $10 kind), and it shreds it perfectly. I just dump it back in with all the other ingredients and it is delicious! (I also use White Shoepeg corn as it is our family's favorite)

This is an excellent, easy and delicious recipe. It is great with gluten-free pretzels, celery, gluten-free ginger snaps, and various fruits. Everyone loves it! Thanks for the great recipe.

Low-Carb Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2014
I found a quick and easy way to do this. I used a Milk Chocolate flavored Atkins drink in place of the milk and cocoa powder and it was fantastic! I didn't have heavy cream so I used lite cool whip. I will try the heavy cream next time though 'cause I picked some up today! (I also forgot the vanilla - didn't matter, was still delicious!)

Sugar-Free Mojito Punch

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2014
Excellent! Sort of "winged" the measurements to make individual servings and it turned out fantastic. Everyone had to have one - or two!

Delicious! I added a full block of cream cheese and a full teaspoon of cinnamon. Also great with celery sticks and pretzel sticks. Thanks!

Emily's Easy Sausage and Spicy Tomato Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2013
This was just fair. I didn't like the flavor as is, so I threw in some diced jalapenos and a little bit of cheddar cheese to help it along - better, but not outstanding.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2013
I made mine gluten free and mostly sugar free. I used gluten free tortillas, sugar-free marmalade and whatever fruits I felt like using. I added one packet of Stevia. These were delicious and I make them almost every weekend now for football games!

Outrageous Warm Chicken Nacho Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2012
Excellent! Even the kids like it. My simple alterations: put cooked chicken through my chopper to make the pieces smaller; use half pound of Velveeta and use cheddar or hot pepper cheese in place of the other half pound (really, I just guess - just dump some in!); and, last time I made it I forgot to add the sour cream and we didn't even notice! It's delicious and so easy to make. I cook chicken breast tenderloins in the crock pot (since they are small they cook faster), then let them cool slightly and run them through the chopper and throw them back in the crock pot. Dump in all the other ingredients and in about 30 minutes or so, your dip is ready for the big football game! Enjoy

Good, easy, and tasty recipe. I didn't use the entire ranch dressing, I just mixed and added until I got just the right taste - yummy!

Rosemary Roasted Turkey

Excellent! My son never liked turkey until he tried this variation. It makes the turkey juicy and delicious throughout. This is now the only way I prepare a turkey!

These were just okay. I might make again simply because they are quick and easy, but I don't get requests for them.

Pretzel Turtles

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2011
I was quite surprised by how average these tasted. After all of the reviews, I expected more. I love salty/sweet combinations, but these just didn't do it for me. They were simply okay. I probably won't make them again. However, having said that, if you are looking for a very quick and easy candy, these are right on the money for that purpose!

Cherry Crumble

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
Finally tried this after it sat in my recipe box for 4 years! I can only say I wish I had tried it sooner. No more cherry pie for me - it's Cherry Crumble all the way! Everyone loved it. The texture is fantastic, the taste simply amazing, and making it was a snap.

5-Minute Guacamole

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
This is a quick, easy and quite tasty guacamole recipe. These are the changes I made: I add the juice of half a lime (use a teaspoon of lime juice if you like), I use garlic seasoning instead of a clove of garlic (makes it easier), about a tablespoon or so of chopped onion, and a little cilantro. I don't go to the trouble of chopping cilantro - I just buy the little tube in the produce section and add about a teaspoon. I also make it without the cilantro and it is still quite tasty. Since I like my guacamole a little chunky, I just use a fork or potato masher to chop up the avocados.

Chocolate Caramel Candy

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
First off, these are absolutely delicious! However, most people that tried them said they were too sweet (a description that is often difficult for me to understand). They are very sweet. The downside is that they are not a "quick fix" candy. They take time, but are definitely worth trying. They remind me of a Snickers candy bar - only better! If you have the time and want to impress, these candies are perfect.

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
If you have a severe sweet tooth, then these might be for you. They were easy enough to make, albeit a bit time-consuming. I ended up having to throw out over half - they were just too sweet. (Yea, I know, who knew there was such a thing!)
