Tasteful Tahini Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2014
I swapped apple cider vinegar in place of red wine vinegar and only had powdered ginger but the result was absolutely fabulous!

Barb-a-fu

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2012
Pressed the tofu first to drain and fried the tofu slices in a half tbsp of oil first, also baked 5-10 mins longer on each side, and it came out fabulous. Even better as leftovers, believe it or not. Also great with sriracha dipping sauce on the side. My first time making tofu too, and it was a super success! Amazing BBQ sauce! Thanks! SN: I counted the calories and it only came out to 211 calories per serv. using low calorie BBQ sauce!

German Potato Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2012
I followed TDZANKL's advice and peeled and boiled the potatoes for a few minutes the night before. Other than adding more flour and salt, I followed this recipe and they came out beautifully. I found it yielded quite a few more latkes than the recipe states, but they all got eaten regardless!

Spooky Witches' Fingers

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
SO EASY AND FUN! Friends went crazy over them at a Halloween party. Followed recipe except I used almond slices for the finger nails, used almond slivers to look like bones coming out of the other end of the finger, and dipped the "bone" end generously in Smuckers reduced sugar strawberry preserves (mixed with red food coloring) before baking. Dipped in jam again after they cooled to make them extra gorey and put a bowl of the jam out on the cookie tray for dipping. The cookie itself is kind of average, and the jam makes it SO much tastier! Once people got over the disgusting appearance, they got eaten all up. They really do puff up so roll them to about the size of your pinkie as others suggest. These are pretty easy, despite how they look and people will be blown away by them! I'm so glad I tried this recipe!

Chocolate Torte

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
This recipe came out great, it was easy and delicious. Following the advice of another reviewer, I doubled the ingredients for the frosting. Because I used apple sauce instead of oil for the cake, it came out really REALLY moist, which is delicious and healthier for you, but also presents issues when frosting. Granted, I am no expert cake maker, but even after refrigerating the cakes overnight, they were super crumbly when frosted, which I think necessitates large quantities of frosting. And the frosting is the best part of this cake so I think you should slap on a lot of it in any case! I had a lot of frosting left over, so I would recommend increasing the icing ingredients by half rather than double. Totally delicious!

Chicken Eileen

I let the chicken sit in an olive oil rosemary, thyme, and parsley mixture when baking. GREAT meal, easy, minimal cleanup. I've been asked for this dish more than once. Just delicious!

Easy Garlic Chicken

When you want fried chicken but you don't want to go through the hassle of frying, this recipe is perfect. I've used it many times and it always turns out moist and flavorful and crispy. Thanks!

Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2005
Surprisingly full of flavor. My variation uses seasoned salt, garlic pepper salt, and lime juice instead of limes. I cube chicken too for more flavor. Used this marinade for chick kabobs on the grill- it was heaven. Have also sauteed chicken in the marinade- just as good if not better. Can not believe how easy and delicious!

Pasta, Broccoli and Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2004
My favorite part: Makes GREAT leftovers! AND makes a great cold pasta salad too. I'm a fairly amateur cook and this recipe came out perfect the first time. I definitely suggest more of everything- pesto, olive oil- I cooked the chicken in olive oil and garlic and I overcooked the broccoli, but I think that made it better. My family gives it five stars.
