About this Cook
I live in the great state of North Carolina, in the mountains. I love to cook and bake! I have a large freezer so I triple cook and always have full meals ready to thaw if needed! I am retired now and love to make everything from soups to chowder to big meals nightly.I bake every three days!
My favorite things to cook
I love to make everything! Cooking and baking has never been a chore.my four grown sons are great cooks. Our best times when they were little was in the kitchen with !
My favorite family cooking traditions
I am of polish heritage and holiday cooking as well as daily was well planned. My mother and grandmother were fabulous cooks. I learned to cook and bake at age twelve! As a teenager I cooked the family meals nightly as my mom was a cook at our local convent.
My cooking triumphs
Not to brag but almost everything I cook is excellent!
My cooking tragedies
I ruined one pot..burned on Carmel syrup that I did not stir constantly!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies
Omg out of this world made these today,only thing I added was a half cup of crushed bran flakes. Gave the cookies some crunch, other then that I followed the recipe. I did bake for thirteen minutes. They are crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. I used a two and a half tablespoon cookie scoop. I have a bunch of bakery sized cookies that hubby just loves. This will be my forever peanut butter cookie recipe. Delish! I did put the cookie dough in the fridge while a batch was baking!

Easy Apple Crisp
I made this recipe this afternoon, I used Apple cider rather then water, and did put oats and also raisins in the topping. I used eight med. Granny Smith and gala apples...house smelled wonderful. Hubby and I tasted it out of the oven, delicious! Will have it for dessert tonight with vanilla ice cream and warmed caramel sauce drizzled over it. My new Apple crisp recipe, I did use a white cake mix if I had a spice or caramel mix I would of tried that! Great recipe! Will make often!

Apple Cinnamon White Cake
I have this baking now, house smells great, followed the recipe almost, after reading all reviews I added two tablespoons oil and used two chopped apples that I let sit in cinnamon sugar mixture. We can hardly wait! I did sprinkle some raisins on top..set timer for forty five minutes! I made a drizzle and this cake is delish! Did bake for almost an hour. This cake is very moist and with the added Apple and cinnamon it is a keeper. Next time I will make it in nine inch round pan...I cannot imagine anyone not loving this cake! Great job jingle bells! Yummy with fresh brewed coffee!
