Easy Apple Cinnamon Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
These were grease bombs. I halved the measurements on the topping and they still left about a tablespoon of butter in each cup after removing the muffin. The muffin papers were soaked! Also, they didn't come out of their papers very easliy. Probably because all the butter cooked out of them. Not worth the 600 calories, sorry.

Almond Cookies I

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
WOW! These cookies lasted 30 minutes in my house. They are delicious! I had to use hazelnut liquer (didn't have amaretto) and I also put a couple sliced almonds on top of the cookies before they baked. Great, EASY recipe! Thank you!!

Lemon Scones

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
These were great! I want to make them again, soon. I brushed melted butter on top of the scones before I sprinkled demerera sugar on top. YUM!

Orange Drop Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
These are okay. Pretty sweet. Listening to other reviewers, I added an extra 1/2 cup of flour and they kept their shape pretty well. My kids liked them.

Kristen's Awesome Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2007
meh... these have a nice flavor, but they turn out FLAT! In the recipe's defense, it does describe the cookies as crispy. They do not turn out anything like the picture. My dad liked them; he likes crispy cookies.

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: May 23, 2007
I made these kabobs twice. The first time the chicken marinated for maybe 5 minutes max and I dumped the extra marinade on top before I broiled them. The next time, they marinated for 6 hours and both times the chicken was VERY tender. I will be making this again and again!

Grilled Marinated Shrimp

Reviewed: May 16, 2007
This marinade was great! I didn't have fresh herbs, so had to substitute with dried. I served the prawns over a fresh spinach salad that I tossed with a vinegarette I made from some of the reserved marinade. Just added red wine vinegar.

Jumbo Fluffy Walnut Apple Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2007
These were good muffins. I hate to be one of those people that raves about a recipe and then proceeds to tell what they did to change it, but.... I didn't add the walnuts AND I grated my apples instead of slicing them. My kids loved these!

I love these cookies! They have been a holiday tradition in my family for over 10 years and everybody loves them. Frost before baking.

Russian Tea Cakes I

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2006
These were so good! I did use pecans instead of walnuts. I had the finely chopped pecans that are used in cookies and candies.

Alaska Salmon Bake with Pecan Crunch Coating

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2006
Yum! I accidentally used too much honey and we didn't have parsley, but this salmon was GREAT! We used a 3 lb. filet, still whole, and first broiled the topping side, then flipped it over and cooked it (skin side up) at 400 until medium-rare.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2006
Yep, this cornbread is great! Very moist and held together. I halved the recipe and baked in an 8x4 loaf pan (reducing the cooking time). Served this with Easy Corn Chowder from this site!

I can't stop eating these! They are definitely biscuits and not cinnamon rolls, but delicious nonetheless!

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2006
I had never had chicken marsala before so I had to try this. The only change I made to the recipe was adding more mushrooms. This was an easy, tasty meal!

Spicy Steamed Shrimp

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2006
I hate to stray from the recipe, but 3 ounces of Old Bay is a whole small jar! I just used 3 T of the seasoning and it was still super spicy. I could really only taste the Old Bay and not the shrimp.

Simple Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2006
This is just Hamburger Helper, only you dirty more pots. Also I had to add about a cup and a half of milk. It's too thick otherwise.

This tastes like BisQuik biscuits with a little sugar and raisins added. Nothing special, sorry.

St. Patrick's Day Zucchini-Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2006
These are strange little cookies. Flavor is not bad at all, but I don't think I'll make them again. Also, I added 3 drops of green food coloring and they still weren't very green.

Irish Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2006
This was great! My whole family had seconds. I couldn't find a good deal on breasts, so used boneless skinless thighs instead. Also I only had one can of cream of chicken so I used cream of celery for my second can. I think this dish could've used a little more salt, but that's just a personal preference.
