About this Cook
Hello! Just wanted to share a few things about myself. Let's see where to start. I used to be a housewife while living in Japan but now we are back in the US and I work. I find it hard to cook when I get home from working all day. I LOVE to cook and it's almost like theropy for me but sometimes I'm just too tired.
My favorite things to cook
I love to grill but unfortunatly we had to leave our grill in Japan. I find that I'm really good at creating my own recipes. But I would still have to say that baking is my favorite type of cooking!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Whenever my grandmother was still alive we would always go to her house and all the ladies would stay in the kitchen and help. I always remember complaining about the giblet gravy because I thought it was the nastiest thing. My grandmother would always try to get me to eat it. I mainly just helped around the kitchen during that time. I was some what young so I didn't do much. Hopefully when we return to the states we can have more family traditions.
My cooking triumphs
I make some awesome lemon cookies with lemon frosting. My husband's favorite is my lasagna.
My cooking tragedies
When I have to use the broiler I almost always forget to take the stuff out on time! It's usually some type of bread so it's extra crisy. :sniff:sniff: Do you smell something burning?

Chocolate Ganache
This recipe came out great. I made it to top off my husband's birthday cake. He loved it!

This recipe was great! Everything turned out like it should. I followed the recipe exactly, except one thing, I topped it off with mozzerella. I would make this over and over!
