Homemade Dog Food

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2013
My very fussy 12 yo shih tzu LOVED it and has had so much more energy. I add an egg and cottage cheese (for calcium) and then place in food processor as she has not many teeth left. I keep in fridge and warm to room temp before feeding. So thankful to find a palatable recipe for her. I change up the meat for variety and once a week include organ meats for the iron. I have been buying ridiculously expensive tin foods from my vet and still had to coax her to eat. Not with this food she willingly gobbles it up and is healthier then she has ever been and I am spending less. A win-win. Thank you for this recipe redgirl !!

Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2013
OMG, delicious! I made this today with left over mashed potatoes, subbed a leek for an onion and half and half cream to save on some cal/fat. I used parsley in place of cilantro (had none :) It is fantastic, so tasty! I started this soup at 1120hrs and served it up at 1200......pretty fast and easy esp with the mashed potatoes. 5 stars!

Easy Indian Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2011
Absolutely Delicious! I used 2 cups coconut milk 1 cup cream. Added the chicken to the whole thing instead of baking first. Simmered til chicken cooked and tender. I added "Kitchens of India Butter chicken Curry paste" and Patak's mild curry paste(approx 1 Tbsp but taste test til desired amt) In place of Garam Masala and Tandoori Masala. I still added the cayenne though. It was amazing. Even first time curry people loved it. My husbands whole office is calling for the recipe!

EXCELLENT yorkshire puddings! Crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. I agree with earlier reviews to just add some salt to the batter. Yummy!

I love this cake. It is easy to prepare and impressive on its presentation. I have made the snowflakes, made hearts for valentines day, clovers for St patrick's day etc. Your imagination is the limit. I use lots of jam for the center . Try it you'll love it!

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2009
5 stars for sure! I made this for my daughters 19th birthday. It was loved by all. As suggested I doubled the sauce which was perfect. I placed in 350 deg oven x 1 hour then took lid off 300 deg x 30 mins. We did not find the pepper was "too spicy".Served with parmesan cheese on the side. It was a hit.

Garlic Cheese Chicken Rollups

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2009
I made this dish last week for my family and have been asked to make it again EVERDAY. It is sooo easy but is impressive enough for company. I took a previous persons' suggestion and marinated with Zesty Italian Dressing a couple hours before hand. I found you can omit the butter as the crumbs (I used croutons crushed) covered the chicken easily with the marinade. Just make sure you don't over cook the chicken 25-30 mins was ample. A keeper!

Southwestern Caesar Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
My family had this as a quick "lupper" yesterday. It was fast and easy and VERY tastey. Even my son who doesn't much like salads loved it. I used jalapenos for the hot pepper and held the anchovies. I added tinned corn and sliced black olives. It was sweet, salty and spicy. Would be awesome served in a tortilla bowl. mmmmmm next time!

Almond Bear Claws

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
Loved this recipe. I used frozen puff pastry(where you find the frozen pie pastry) It comes in sheets already rolled out, which makes it fast and easy. After baking, I brushed a glaze made with icing sugar/milk and almond flavoring right over the sliced almonds. It was just what they needed for sweetness. My coworkers were calling me at home for the recipe weeks after! An impressive EASY treat. 5+++ stars.
