Quinoa Black Bean Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2013
Amazing! Very hearty and lots of flavor. Using the advice of another rater, I put the patties in the oven for 15 min at 400 degrees and then lightly browned using the broiler rather then put them in a pan with olive oil. I will definitely be making these again.

The Best Lemon Bars

Reviewed: May 3, 2013
This was my first time making lemon bars from scratch. They came out amazingly good! Nice lemony sweetness, a great dessert or afternoon treat. I would have given 5 stars but I did make a few small changes to the recipe after reading the reviews. I added lemon zest to the crust before baking. For the custard, I used the juice of 2 1/2 lemons (vs 2), used 1/3 cup flour (vs 1/4), and added lemon zest. I will definitely be making these again.

Delicious Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2013
This was great, I love recipes that end up in one pot! It was quite hearty and a good meal for a cool evening. I did change a few things according to my tastes: Omitted: Celery, butter for the cracker top (used crackers only) Swapped: Water for organic low sodium chicken broth to cover the chicken while cooking, 1 cup of rice for 3 cups brown rice, regular sour cream for light Added: Frozen broccoli florets (cut the cook time in half since it would be baked after so they wouldn't get mushy), 1 cup of shredded cheddar plus a bit to sprinkle o top, added a bit of parmesan cheese, more spices

Sandy's Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2014
Very good for a base dish, definitely needs additions to make more flavorful. I substituted cream of broccoli for cream of mushroom, used brown rice pasta instead of regular, added garlic, added frozen broccoli, used grilled chicken vs canned, and added the french's onions on top. Had to cook for 60min, stirring every 20 in order for the pasta to cook. Then added the onions on top, left uncovered to bake for 10 more min.
