Chris' Bay Area Burger

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2006
I try not to rate 5 stars unless it really is a great recipe. This recipe definetly got a 5 STAR. The recipe ingredients did not really appeal to me initially, but I made it exactly how it was described, but I did add some extra garlic since we are garlic lovers. They turned out GREAT! A really good grilled burger that is for sure! In the past two weeks I have made them twice and both times I received grand reviews. I even caught my husband eating a second burger one night about an hour after dinner and asked him if he was eating because he was hungry or because he liked the burgers...He said because he like the burgers, so that was a confirmation that this is a keeper. We look forward to many grilled burgers this summer!

Slow Cooker Chicken Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
I loved this recipe. It is not your elegant chicken cordon bleu a much easier, less extravagant version, but great to toss together in the crockpot and come back to a complete meal. I followed the recipe to a T with a few minor exceptions. I used a thicken cut ham lunchmeat and cut it into 1" squares. I loved the sauce, but next time I am going to use 2 cans of cream of chicken and 2 cup milk for the sauce. YUMMY!

Red Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
I have made this salad twice and it is OUT OF THIS WORLD! The ingredients sounded funny at first, but whatever...it works! I served it with shrimp and it went rather well. There was nothing left after my dinner party was through.

Blackened Seasoning Mix

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2010
This is a great blackening recipe. I have made it a few times and it is super easy to make with mostly ingredients that I always have on hand. I do have an 8 year old who it is too spicy for so if you might need to omit the cayenne for those with sensitive tastebuds.

Margaritas

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2010
Such a simple recipe for great margaritas! I was skeptical, but they are definetly good! I did reduce the tequila to 5 oz. because I prefer not to fall down after two margaritas. I also used 4 cups of crushed ice. It was the perfect combination.

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
OMG ~ I just made this Friday night for the first time and as I always do with a new recipe, I follow it to a "T" and this one came out TERRIFIC - with no modifications. My 13 year old son and his two friends devoured it with no leftovers. My 8 year old picky eater would not even look at it, but that does not surprise me since this recipe does not have Ramen Noodles in it, which apparently is now a staple ingredient in her vocabulary. Will be making this one again for my family's Fish Fridays. Thanks for the recipe!

Pico De Gallo

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2012
This is a perfect recipe for your basic Pico De Gallo, the way it is suppose to be. You can doll it up with other stuff if you like. I also make Bob's Habanero Hot Sauce - Liquid Fire from this website and I combine the two for a chunky salsa. Very good! Thanks grneyedmustang!

Portobello Port Sauce for Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
This is a fabulous recipe! I did not have port wine so I substituted 1/3 cup red wine, 1/3 cup soy sauce and 1/3 cup water for the port wine. Besides that I followed the recipe as written. I served a grilled pork tenderloin and spoon the extra sauce over both the tenderloin and mushrooms. Everyone loved it.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2012
I made this chili last night for Halloween. I was in such a big hurry for Halloween party I literally put all the ingredients in the slow cooker and stirred a few times through out the day. When company started to eat the chili, I could not get over how many people LOVED it! I'm glad I found it and would not change a thing. Some people put it over tortilla chips, next time I will buy a bag of fritos....But other than that, I would not change a thing! Great recipe!

YUMMY!!! I tried this recipe last night and followed it exactly...It came out GREAT!!! Served it with white rice and steamed broccoli. The only thing I would do different is make more of the sauce because my family likes to spoon the sauce over their white rice. None left!!! This one is a Keeper!!!

Bob's Habanero Hot Sauce - Liquid Fire

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2012
Mmmmm This is some good stuff! My hubby likes hot - hot sauce so this fits the bill. My friend grows fresh Habanero and he will bring me a whole batch over, I make this and it stays great in the fridge. When we want more of a chunky sauce, I make Pico De Gallo, pour some of this over it and let it marinate in the frige for a while. It's great that way too!

Carla's Fruit Dip

This was really good - I made it for a gathering last night that had several children in attendance as well. The only thing that I changed was that I used 8 oz. of cream cheese as opposed to 3 oz. Everyone loved it and it was devoured quickly.

Jeff's Chili Con Queso

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
WOW ~ Super Chili Con Queso ~ I followed the directions to a "T" and it turned out perfect. I made this for an appetizer for Christmas Eve ~ I usually do the Velveeta/Rotel recipe, but this one surpasses it by far. There were a lot of yummy appetisers on the table, but my hubby said this one was the best. A KEEPER ~
