Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

While my crust wasn't crispy on the outside, like so many experienced, the flavor was really wonderful and...bready. The lack of crunch may well be the fact that I used a pizza stone. In any case, if you like a flavorful, chewy, soft crust, this one will do it for you in spades. It makes a lot, compared with some dough recipes. For my 15" round stone, it made a full, fairly thick crust.

Slumgullion

This is a quick and easy "recipe", so I give it thumbs up for that aspect. I made the recipe as is, which imo, is the only fair way to rate it accurately. Made as written, it is passable, but rather bland and lackluster. If ease of prep is the goal here and if I were going to attempt this again, I would substitute jarred spaghetti sauce for the tomato soup. Some of the other suggestions for changes made by other posters sound promising, as well. I can imagine that most children would be very content with the recipe, as written.

Chocolate Chip Apple Cake

I made this for the first time and took it to a meeting, where it received many compliments. So it is good! For me personally, I prefer a denser cake. One reviewer here said that theirs came out dense, but mine was quite light and airy. Just a matter of preference. I would also add more chips than the recipe calls for, as well as perhaps double the apples, as a number of reviewers here suggested. It needs more apples to up the apple flavor. Was happy with the moistness.
