Amish White Bread
I've always loved this recipe - making it by hand, mixing raisins and nuts into it to make it a snack bread.
Today I made it with the bread machine (Sunbeam BM2500) for the first time. I halved the recipe and cut down the yeast to 2tsp from 2 1/4. Method is pretty simple. Water, sugar, yeast - let it foam. Add salt, oil, flour - level it and chuck the bread bin into the machine. Use Basic or White bread setting. Add raisins and nuts when the machine prompts for it.
It turns out perfect, just like if it were done by hand. Fluffy and soft!
